Everyone's in bed but I just heard him get up and ask my Mum if he could go for a walk.
We live in a safe neighbourhood, but of course Mum said no.
I'm thinking it's not just a walk to clear his head...
What on earth is my brother up to? Does it sound suss to you?

Haha my brother is a pervert? Please learn to SPELL before you start making rude comments. I live in New Zealand, in a small city of little over 100,000 people. I'm not going to go walking with my brother, even in broad day light. I'm just being his nosy big sister!

What is going on in a person'e mind is difficult to judge sitting in the virtual world like this. Such questions cannot be answered with any conviction unless the person's personality and the circumstances are known. You can judge this by the kind of different, some of them poles apart, answers given here.
Your mother's 'No' was right. Going out in the mid-night without any apparent reason or emergency is suspect, besides being risky. Your mother (and you, if he is close to you) should sit with him and find out what is bothering him. May be there is something bothering him and was unable to sleep. A patient and sympathetic hearing would work wonders.

Well it sounds like he wants to go meet a girl or go out with his friends. Being out with his friends at that time isn't a good sign they could be doing a lot of things to get themselves in trouble. I think it does sound pretty suspicious

I don't know what to tell you but I have noticed that the poster above me does not have an original idea.Perhaps she thinks she is making sport of someone else when in fact she is only making herself look foolish. I wouldn't worry about her Wabby, it just isn't worth it.Take care.

Dear Sarah,
It could be quite innocent, i.e., just a need for some exercise and solitude. Surely, you have felt the need to take a walk, or be alone.

I would think he was going to meet a girl or some of his buddies. I think it is great that he actually asked your parents and didn't just sneak out of the house.

i would be concerened to, 15, boy, 2:15 am. something is'nt right! maybe just to go out for fresh air, but on the otherhand, there is to much temptation out there, even in SAFE neighborhoods! be careful, and concerened! he's lucky to have you as his sister!

At that age we walked every where and he is old enough to make his own decisions.
Though if mum says no then she means no.
