Personally I don't think of most Democrats as true socialists. What they have are socialist tendencies. This is because many of the policies of the Democratic Platform revolve around the redistribution of wealth. However, not all Democrats favor all policies espoused by the ultra liberals who now appear to be largely in control of the party. So it is a mischaracterization to classify all Democrats as devout socialists, because it is just not a fair assessment.

I have to presume your a Republican. If you love freedom so much, why do you support the Patriot Act? Why do you support the abrogation of Habeas Corpus in the US? Why have you sat quietly by, while the US Bill of Rights, the document which lists those "freedoms" you profess to love so much, was gutted by your fellow Republicans?
Saying you support freedom and then removing those freedoms is like saying you support the war in Iraq even though you refuse to go fight in it. Just more empty words while the Republicans continue to enslave and surveil the poorer classes in the US.
If the choice is Socialism or being a Republican Fascist in the US, I choose socialism. Your clumsy, hamhanded attempt at Right Wing fearmongering is really getting tired and overused.

Yes. Most Democrats are not socialist at all. I am actually a far left Democrat and consider myself a pseudo capitalist-socialist. So if that is what I am, the middle of the road is not socialist.
