When only the top [3] in practice seem happy ???

This is the final tune up for the race.The teams focus on tire wear and fuel milage.
Some teams work on increasing qualifing speeds and they end up as one of the top 3 in practice and are happy with their cars.
But all 43 are happy if they ,don't wreck in happy hour or they don't blow up then.
Then the teams know that after that hour they can rest and relax and get happy til race morning.

I'd guess that after the majority of the work is done it is like a primer for the fun part (the fun part being the race itself). Usually at Happy Hour they are just tweaking things, working on race trim and seeing how the handling and tires hold up on long runs. This week is an impound race and Happy Hour will be before qualifying, which sucks in my opinion. It would seem more crucial this week, with using the COT at a super speedway for the first time, that they get as much practice time that is possible to get a handle on how these cars are going to run under race conditions.

1st off there is nothing HAPPY about HAPPY HOUR, its just a final shake down of the car. Have you ever notice that the fastest 3 are rarely on the pole?

Because the drinks are real cheap...and there is always 3 who have hung around longer than everyone else.
