Yes.
I remember a few weeks ago when someone asked why robots don't evolve. The question-asker thought that what makes something evolve is that it's sufficiently complex. Most of the respondents - including some who do accept evolution - said they don't evolve because they're not biological. Only one other person realized that the fact that they don't reproduce themselves was important.

Rarely. For the most part, those on here that believe in the scientific method have a very good grasp of the concepts and principles of science (I had a different account until I was banned at the whim of the Christian inquisitors).
The Christians on here, however, present themsleves as very ununified. Take 10 different Christians and they have ten different interpretations of the Bible and what it means to be Christian.
At least science believers know that science is about theory, and testing and objectivity. It is not open to interpretation once observable fact has been confirmed.

Religion is, basically, a personal thing and most people's belief will be slightly different unless its a cult. I have my own but I don't expect anyone else to believe in exactly the same way - that's what makes life interesting I think.

Oh yeah, certainly. There are one or two users on this website that make me cringe, not necessarily with the lack of reasoning but more with their "I know everything and my way is the only correct one" attitude.

Absolutely. As an agnost, it makes me cringe when I see responses from both side of the fence that are as equally ignorant.
I like reasoned argument, anyone can believe what they want, but when either party comes out with such sparkling answers as "I know it's true, it's in the bible" or "of course there's no god, I've never seen him". then I just want to wrap my keyboard round their heads.

God yes!
Some atheists treat it like a religion, they quote Dawkins as if he's their personal god and fall in to the usual holes of argument from authority, some people even defend evolution without understanding the first thing about how it works.
On the whole though, atheists are pretty smart compared to their opponents.

Sometimes when I answer a question I am really addressing other responders that fall in this category in the hope of showing them a better way to respond to the question. Don't know if it helps, but I try.

Yes sometimes. I am an atheist but I respect the person of Jesus and admire his teachings, and I get irritated by atheists attacking Jesus's person. I also get irritated by them when they try to force their ideas and tell the religious that they don't have reasoning and don't have rational thinking. Others also just make some nasty jokes and bash Jesus and God for no reason, just to insult others, which I hate so much.
Atheists are considered to be scientific and reside to reason, but then you see some just saying things just to harm others with no reasoning or rationality at all except harm.

Definitely! but I hope and pray they are learning how to be reasonable by example. Theres always going to be bad apples in the bucket but if they can get something from the good apples than they have begun to realize and I think that is great.GOD BLESS!!

Some people have firm beliefs but have not understood why they have them to begin with. A faith well searched out and reasoned is a more secure and lasting one.
