When I was a child, I had alot of nightmares. Some I remember, some I don't. But everyone of them ended with me getting bit by a bat or a chicken (haha, I know, right?) in the middle of my back. When I woke up abruptly, I would have a very sharp pain in my back that would last a few seconds. How is this? Also, what's the deal with being half awake/half asleep? I would have bad dreams and can remember feeling awake, but I can't move, can't speak loud enough to be heard, but I can't wake up either, and want to so badly because I'm affraid of whatever is going on in my dream...weird

well, about the bat and chicken thing, try to think of its meaning to you, it might represent something traumatic or simply memorable in your past. It could also be something that you're thinking of all the time, consciously or subconsciously. There are many interpretations for it and I think only you can tell what it really means. Keep it mind though, that it also might not mean anything at all. Another thing, your dreams happen in your mind, and your mind can produce any feeling or image anytime. That's why there are times when you wake up that you still feel what happened to you in a dream. Kind of like how hypnotism works. You think of something hard enough, you feel it.

anyway, about being half asleep, half awake. It's called sleep paralysis. It's nothing to worry about. It's not paranormal as other people might think. It happens to everyone. There is a scientific, psychological explanation for it. Look it up if you have time, coz i don't know much about it myself. You're only partially awake so you can't really control your body. You're still dreaming while you're half awake. Hope this helps.

half awake dreams are very common l have them all the time dreams that are truely warning you something are usually half awake. being bit by a bat is a terrible warning in the back means some evil person you might believe to be a friend is a back stabber. be careful and try to find some better friends.

People sometimes have dreams of falling off cliffs, and wake up and they are on the floor. I have had dreams of breaking my leg, and when I woke up, my leg would be in extreme pain to the point of me crying.
I think maybe you were self conscience about something, and when you would attempt something, you'd get knocked down and hurt. I don't know, that's the fun with dreams. They're are yet another one of life's mysteries. ;)
