In religion, the soul is your inner being. I don't think you will be able to see people's actual souls. If you see a person with dead eyes and nothing behind them you might want to ask if he needs help, he might just be having the worst day of his life.

By definition everyone either has a soul or nobody has a soul. I personally prefer the latter, but belief in the former would mean anyone with no soul is dead. Literally. Kinda hard to walk around and look into someone's eyes when you're dead.

Soul is definitely there. None can exist without soul. People with dead eyes with nothing behind them does not qualify non-existence of soul.

Yes we can tell by using the bible
Let’s understand that man is a tripartite being, that is, he is composed of three parts - body, soul and spirit. I Thessalonians 5:23. The first part is material being, the other two are non-material. With a spirit man is capable of God-consciousness; with a soul he is capable of self-consciousness; with a body he is capable of world-consciousness. Only God's Word can divide between the soul and the spirit. Hebrews 4:12.
Now, at the time of death, the soul and spirit leave the body. The body is put into the grave.
Understand we are not a body, having a soul and spirit, but we are a soul and spirit possessing a body. Death simply means, “I have left my body.”
(Only a person who has died has no soul in his body.)

Every human being has a soul, only that some are not aware of it, or actively deny it. This soul is immortal, it outlives the material body it is in for the time being. This is the reason why a human being has conscience (inherent knowledge of right and wrong), because he has to choose the right thing if he his soul is to join its Maker after its separation from the body. If it does not choose the right thing (because maybe, he does not know that he has an immortal soul), his soul will forever be separated from its Maker - and that is its punishment for not making the right choices. This is my personal conviction.

Nope.
Never know with the ones that have "dead eyes". They could have been through something that took the life from their eyes.
Do not judge people by image. If you were to judge everyone off of image than their is a good possibility that you can be wrong 100%. Image is good with deception for everyone.

Sometimes they say that soul leaves some people. Buddhist lamas actually perform some special ritual to make the soul come back.
And yes, I think I know at least one person with no soul for sure.

Besides the dead eyes, they are emotionless and talk in monotone and they also have no respect for others and sometimes themselves.
