'The Secret' is just a book title. It's not really a secret, it's more like a description of an idea "the secret of success".

A lot of people want to believe that to be popular, successful, pretty, smart, etc, they need to know some magic formula.

They believe, naively, that people who are pretty, successful, smart, etc has some kind of 'secret' ability or special power that makes them that way, and we could all be like it if only WE knew 'the secret'.

The real 'secret' is that there's no secert! It's clever marketting for an idea that's been around forever ~ think happy, be happy; think successful, be successful.

Do people at the top think this way? I'm sure some do. And others don't. Like everything else, success and good fortune are relative terms which change in meaning from person to person. And, as every self made millionaire will tell you, hard work and perserverence have as much to do with success as 'thinking the right way'.

There you go, that's it! But don't let on I told you ;-P

Cheers :-)

Well I wouldnt say its a secret but it is a load of crap!
My friends loony ex boyfriend believes in this stuff and has a bowl on his coffee table that says "what is in this bowl, IS" then he writes little "wishes" down on a piece of paper and puts it in the bowl. He's been a struggling musician for 24 years and now at age 43 he's playing in restaurants for $300 a night and sitting on his couch making wishes to a bowl.
So the real secret is that you have to be a complete and total moron to believe in this crap.

"The Secret" refers to the idea that if you just think of something you'll get it. So, no, it's not a secret, and it's not really true, either. But boy, is it commercially popular.

Well, I lost all faith that anyone really wants to keep a secret at all anymore, after I visited Victorias Secret! In that store there are NO secrets, anything you have, or even have ever thought about is being seen!

The secret is no secret, don't buy the book, just believe in yourself, set your goals and work to achieve them.
