We can't really tell based on this letter. Call the Sheraton main headquarters and make sure that the person signing the letter is, indeed, an employee who is authorized to recruit new hires. Ask them to verify if the offer is real. Seems pretty odd that they only included an email address without a phone number. I don't mean to make sweeping generalizations but if I see that an offer, whatever it may be, is from Nigeria, I toss it.

The best way for you to tell whether it's true or is indeed a scam is to research on the existence of Sheraton over there.

Yes ---> do they ask for fees prior to employment (most likely a scam)
No ---> (it doesn't come up in the net so it's fake!)

Next. Are you a qualified HRM graduate?

Yes ---> contact them ASAP but avoid processing fees (cuz that's the scam)
No ---> you're not suited for the job and some anonymous crackpot sent you this scam

FYI, Nigeria sends in a lot of scams ranging from $300M from the late Djimon Abjou (or John Doe) needs to be transferred to your account. The scam there would be to believe it by sending them a few hundred dollars just to release the funds to your account when in fact it doesn't exist or worse they end up hacking into your bank account, fake Letters of Credit/Telegraphic Transfers, to jobs like so.

Be wary!

1> Did you apply for a position ?
2> If so, what position ? - not stated here

Nigeria is famous for scam and con works. Dont fall for it.
If you agree to their terms - then they will ask for a deposit.

Even you go to Nigeria , make sure you find your way home , with your pants on!!!

Anything offer of work you didn't apply for, especially from Nigeria, can definitely be considered fake. Do not respond.

Well... lets try a little common sense.

Did you APPLY for a job there?

No?

Then maybe it's scam...

Did any of this make sense?
