Does one get " ajr" for starting a scholarship program for students?
Anyone worthy of the scholarship can be awarded and not just people who might be in financial need.

This is not something that will be private mna, as the students will know that thet can potentially win a scholarship and because I cannot do it as an individual
(I do not have enough funds) and if I would like to be able to help many, then
hopefully start some organisation.

Yes, of course, you're doing something absolutely wonderful! God rewards people with "ajr" (reward) for simply thinking of doing a good deed (you get "ajr" for intending to do something good - whether you actually end up doing it or not - if say, something got in the way..). Whatever kind of help you offer, and to whom ever, is a wonderful thing to do. God has no criteria for rewarding a good deed :) He knows what's in your heart. So reward whom ever you deem worthy and remember that any kind of help to any person - meaning people of all financial, social and academic backgrounds (and of all faiths, too) ;) - pleases God and bestows His love, mercy and rewards on you.

Keep up those wonderful vibes and God Bless ;)

Yes giving a scholarship to anyone worthy can be awarded because it is a good doing. But giving assistance to someone who might be in financial difficulty is a good doing too.God will reward all good doins. In the holy Qur'an God spoke that good doing like raising a seed that will become a tree and it will grow bigger ang bigger .The tree will have 7 or many branches and each branch has 100 fruits. So the reward of good doing is 700 times.

Providing education is sadaqa jariah

Planting a tree is sadaqa jariah

You will get ajr for as long as they benefit other people also.

You will get ajr if you just smile and say hello for your brothers in Islam.

absolutely YES........if you plant a tree and all the people that eat from it, you're rewarded by Allah
if one teaches and passes on knowledge and they keep doing the same, you'll be rewarded

you get the idea?? It's all about your intention cuz some people who do nice things might do it for the purpose of their personal gain( i'm not implying you ) , but if your intention is pure and you keep quiet about the donation, than Allah swt will reward you indeed.
