"If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him." Voltaire!

There isn't. Whats in the bible is not a God that created the universe. Its a group of beings trying to scare some humans. Thats all. Nothing more, nothing less. Yes, they know a few things about the universe that common men don't, but that doesn't make them God.

The reason they did that was to scare their creation into obeying their rules. It worked kind of like Santa Claus was supposed to work. Parents told their kids Santa knows when your bad or good even when nobody is around. Its basically the same principle. And guess what? Man could see it wasn't truth just like children see through it.

If you don't believe me, go find a christian and see if they don't break any laws of God. Then they say everybody sins, you just have to believe in Christ. Its all bologna. They make up excuses to sin instead of trying to be perfect as Christ said we should be. And thats because that would be too much work.

The only real God has no voice or body. He is the law of the universe that governs everything. He doesn't need to talk to make things exist because He is everything. Who would He need to talk to? He wouldn't regret anything like the bible God. Everything that happens happens for a reason whether good or bad. The bible God is a student of that greater force like we all are. He just knew alot more about it.

A God represents an idea which is beyond human comprehensions,a symbol for powers which no man can possess and a relief system, Humans would want to exist and more. It's a necessary survival mechanism for humans(except for a small percentage of non believers) and therefore,a God is.It's efficacy, effectiveness, desirability or otherwise is a different matter altogether.

I believe that at first when we didn't understand what the sun moon and stars were, why there were thunder and lightning, where the rain came from etc we had to find explanations for these things as we are intelligent creatures who seeks answers instead of just accepting and move on.

God was in every rock, river, animal, in the sun etc.Today's religions are simply "advanced" versions of these basic beliefs (in my opinion NOT saying I KNOW this to be a fact) and for the same reasons (fear of death...etc)

Have a good day

Because humans are so emotionally self-centered and insecure, that they need to believe in a higher power to feel good about themselves. And because of the power they think they have, they think they have the right to oppress people and call them heretics because they're most likely better than that person is. Face it, religion is imperfect.

Lets take Christianity for example, since the bible is a cesspool of contradictions, as who are the people following its way. One of the ten commandments is to not murder, under any circumstances. I think we lost count as to how many Crusades there were, along with any other religious war. This was during the time when people were supposedly closer to God, wasn't it?

The old testament says to give punishment to those who have "sinned", correct? There are different punishments for different wrong-doings. They're all in the Leviticus. In the New Testament, Jesus claims "Let He who is without sin, cast the first stone."

Leviticus also says not to lie with a man as how one lies with a woman, in other words, no "sword-fighting". Wikipedia has quite a list of Roman Catholics child molesters. It's in the sources.

I'm always wanting to learn more, so please let me know of anything different or new.

People.
People need something/someone to blame their problems on.
People need something/someone to talk to.
People need to believe that they are there for a reason.
People need to believe that they are important to someone.
People need love.
People need excuses.

Plain and simply, people are stupid.

Whomever takes that in the wrong way... Think of it this way: "People are stupid, however, persons can be extremely intelligent."

Oh, I forgot.

People need a reason to make buku money on chatting/bullsh--ing, and having people follow them 'cause they are gullible.
