DON'T bath them - flea baths aren't even a suitable treatment for adult cats, because they don't work! Don't 'water down' ANY treatments, and don't use Dawn dish soap or whatever other nutty things people on here often suggest.
Get hold of some Frontline spray, from a vets - or some pet stores sell it. It's safe for use on kittens from 2 days of age, I've done it many times myself. It stays on the surface of the skin so it won't hurt them, but all fleas will be gone within a couple of hours.
Can I just ask - are you SURE the kittens were abandoned? How long did you observe them alone for? Mother cats do have to leave their kittens periodically to hunt.

Bless you for rescuing these tiny furbabies.
Bathing kittens does not kill fleas. What you need to do is kill the adults and when you wet the kitty to start bathing her the adults will jump off, go into their ears and other openings. Once the kittens are dry and warm, the adults will jump back on. Bathing only removes flea dirt, eggs and the larva stages.
I would follow Kayty's advice and get a flea product from the vet and let them know how tiny these kittens are.
These kittens are much too young to bathe. They will get chilled easily, even with you bathing them in warm water. It will shock their little systems too much.
In addition to something to put on them get a vet approved flea product to use on their bedding. My vet recommended Mycodex to use on bedding. Since these are so tiny, use old towels and baby blankets that can be changed and washed several times a day. If you don't have enough to wash, at least put in the washer with enough water to cover. This will help with the flea battle.
If you feel they really need to be bathed, take them to the vet for the bath. They can bathe them, put them in a cage with a dryer to prevent them getting chilled and watch for any distress.
Purrs and prayers for you and kittens.

You can use Advantage or Frontline on them, probably one tiny drop per kitten. Those flea remedies stay on the skin surface and don't get into the kittens' systems, and they work reliably.
You should get it from a vet and find out what the dosage should be. One tube will be plenty, and it'll cost you about $13.
I would not use any other flea treatment on kittens this small, and I wouldn't bathe them. They can get chilled very easily and they don't have much energy reserve -- they can be seriously weakened by stress.
After the Advantage or Frontline starts killing the fleas, you can use a soft damp cloth gently wipe them off the kittens.
Hand-raising kittens is a big commitment. Thee are several good online article with extensive information on what to do.

if they are only three days old, i wouldn't use any meds on them for the fleas. We just rescued a baby squirrel that was abandoned when some trees were cut down and the wild life rescuers said to just bathe her in dawn dish soap a few times to get the bugs off. Dawn is very mid for tiny babies. It worked too. She had mites, and fleas and all kinds of creepy crawlies. They actually went away after the first bath.
It is really important to dry them and keep them warm. Make sure you have a warm water bottle or other heat source for them for the next couple of weeks.

"Bathing" will not kill fleas. What you need is a capsule of flea killer, which contains a type of gel, and place it within the fur on the back of the neck. It will be absorbed through the skin and the treatment will be carried around the body to destro the fleas. Usually obtained trough a vetinary clinic. Dont forget to spray the cats sleeping pace with a high density fly/flea spray or reinfection will occur.

dawn dish soap and warm water. DO NOT USE ANY FLEA MEDS! at least without a vets recomendation. danw and warm water and patience and picking the little buggers off is all u need. very warm water bottles wrapped in an old t-shirt ( they need this all hours of the day ) will keep them from catching cold. don't forget at this age they need help peeing and pooping to. a warm wet tissue rubbed on their backsides will take care of that. and the kitten milk they sell at the vet is much healthier than the grocery store brand. good luck! enjoy them, there is nothing like hand raising a kitten!

initially, congrats. you have 2 very appropriate cats. The kitten looks sufficiently previous that he's in all probability being weaned. the mummy cat you suggested is skinny. a great form of mom cats are actual skinny mutually as nursing, so she could desire to income some weight decrease back quickly now that she's performed nursing. As for grooming, you may brush them each and every few days or whilst quickly as a week. they're short haired cats, so as that they do no longer prefer as plenty grooming as long haired cats. As for baths, you recognize they won't like it. attempt preserving them by the scruff of the neck and supply them their bathtub that way. I do a similar component with my kitten. they must get used to it is going to truly. in case you do no longer see any adjustments in the mummy cat's weight quickly, i might ask a vet. She could have some thing incorrect, it fairly is perplexing to tell, yet she looks healthy. Take great care of your new cats and happy New 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

you need to go to the vets with them and they will use frontline flea caplets or spray, theese are the only ones that work but you must use them every 4-5 weeks to keep the fleas at bay!

they are very young ,don't give them direct bath, cold is harmful for kittens. They are very sensitive and they catch cold very fast.Keep them warm and feed them milk with a dropper at every two hours. As for the fleas take a tweezer and gently take them out. This is the only solution.
