Ok so i'm in 9th grade im taking AP human Geograhpy, Honors Bio, Honors English, Geometry, French, and Softball.
we just got our report cards and I got ALL A's and one A+ and one A- my parents said that i need to work "harder" in that class! how does this make sense, i mean an A is an A. Doesn't matter if its a +/-. They say i need to bring up my grades, i just don't get it ! I'm so frustrated! In 7th grade I dropped from Algebra to Pre-Algebra because I was getting a C in that class! They were soooooooooo mad!?!?!? I was so confused I tried my hardest but i think that they never think it is good enough! It sucks so freaking much, i don't know what too do. please give me advice! please!

please dear one, you are doing great but your parents are making out of you a perfectionist and that`s not good. for as much that it will be difficult for you to ignore them and feel happy anyway, you have to do so. you are the only one that`s going to live your own life, do not let anybody even your parents make you think otherwise. and if they`re not happy with your grade A`s, it`s their problem because they make it a problem, cause it`s far for being a problem. they`re the problem not you. keep you chin up

Do your best......you are already doing very well....do not bother about what your parents say about having to bring up an A-.......

Tell your parents that you are working hard enough and ask them to stop pressurising you further; ask them whether did they ever appreciate your efforts at all?

Since u r already working hard, don't let them stress you out further. Your parents will eventually realise that giving you more stress is going to back-fire....u will give up on studies totally because u r toooooo frustrated and upset.

Your parents want the best for you and they know what you are capable of. Don't take it personally because my parents were like that with me! Now, me and my parents are hard on my little sister who just started 9th grade is taking AP everything. We just don't want her to start slacking and get comfortable! Your parents are just trying to keep you on track but I'm sure they're very proud of you to be doing so well!

They just want you to have a good future. They are not using you to brag or anything. It is the same for me. They expect me to have all honor classes, all A+s on my report card and get into Princeton (ok it's me who wants to get to princeton hehe)
Either way, it's hard, but they are doing this to help pull you up to the best possible.

Show your parents some of your homework. I'll bet they can't do it.
