To stay healthy, sane, cleaned out and mentally sharp. Really doesn't have to do with sex as much as a pressure and stress release. Don't harp on him about it, encourage it. Usually doesn't affect the sex life unless he's holed up watching porn 24/7

I would feel insulted too. Especially if he was jerking off when I would be more than willing to have sex with him.
I guess I just don't want to know when he does it. I guess we women feel like men are rejecting us or it's against us personally. I guess if the men have to do it, yank it in the shower but you better be ready to have sex on demand lol.

It's all about getting his "guys" out of his system. Sometimes to be sexually involved with another human being means paying attention to their needs and wants. Masturbation is just about getting it all out there--no thought process, no worries about hurting someone's feelings...just good stuff!
