No that is not normal. You need to see a physician quickly so that he can take some pictures of your stomach such as an abdominal CT. It's imperative that you get to your doctor quickly as you may have a fecal impaction or some other sort of abdominal obstruction which can cause further complications pertaining to your colon or small intestines. If something is blocking the GI pathway it perhaps can cause bowel ischemia (lack of blood getting to the affected intestinal tissue) and cause your intestinal tissue to die off. This is of course worst case scenario but is possible nevertheless. Please see a physician ASAP.

You are plugged up!! Babies can go 5 days without a poop and that is normal. Adults are supposed to go every day. You can get a home enema pack or a laxative at the drugstore. Black licorice is a natural laxative. More fiber, water and exercise too! How active are you ?If you are not walking enough to get things moving....but you should check this out. My father had a blockage and hemorraged on a plane. He had 17 tests before they found it. Good luck

I would NOT take a laxative first! You need to go to your doctor and make sure you do not have an obstruction or something else serious. Then if he says it is okay for you to take a laxative, then you can. It could be something more serious than just simple constipation and taking a laxative without knowing could be harmful. If this is not a normal thing for you then please go to your doctor and get checked out.
If this is normal for you, before you take a stimulate laxative, first try a stool softener such as Co lace. It will be gentle and less likely to cause severe cramping and bloating!
Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon!

No this is not normal. Usually after 5 days you need to be looked at by a doctor. You should never stop pooping. This is a major concern. Your not sore or painful or bloated. Go see a doctor if you can't go to the restroom.
Good luck!

this is far from normal!
drink lots of water. Lost of fruit.
You can go to a pharmacy and look at medication for constipation. Do it now. If you still can't go or you are afraid to
then go to your doctor. You don't want a bowel obstruction or rupture.
Start to eat healthy. Walking helps to.

This is not normal. Has it suddenly happened? Are you normally constipated? Has your food intake changed dramatically? You really should see your MD to find out what is the cause of the constipation before taking any laxatives for it. You might need a belly xray.

get to the doctor immediatly before you become septic, bacteria will build up in your system and you could literally be killed by your own stool staying on too long in your system. Most laxatives should do the trick if they don't the doctor as access to some serious Rx's, if that doesn't work you could try an enima but only as last resort.

You wouldn't be asking if it wasn't normal for you...some people can go up to a week without pooing...if you are uncomfortable then go to the chemist and get some Metamucil (fibre drink) or glycerol suppositories (shove one up your butt and see what happens.) Try the fibre drinks first. Then if no result by Monday go to the Dr unless you are really uncomfortable

No it is not normal. In fact it is quite dangerous. Do You know the meaning of the words, 'faecaliths", 'coproliths', faecal impaction', 'lymphoid hyperplasia', 'prophylactic appendectomy', "percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy'? Ask Your Doctor to tell You about them......TODAY!

hmmmmm..... I think you're full of ****. :P

Seriously, you should see a doctor, if this is true. I'm not sure laxatives will help at this point. You're just packing more and more in making the impaction worse.

The other question is... are you eating? If you don't eat, you won't poop.

Bottom line, I'm having difficulty believing you haven't defecated for that duration and you are not in severe pain.
