I would like to know if God forgives people for their past mistakes. I have mad some silly choices in the past.

Also, I often wonder when a relative passes away, are they able to see all of the silly stuff you have done in the past? that worries me a lot.

I think about this also, for example, when we die if there is going to be a screening of my life for everyone to see, and for all my secrets to be shared.. I don't really have the answer. However, I know that Jesus forgive you for all your past mistakes, regardless of how big or how little. You can be forgiven for everything you have ever done, this is the reason why Jesus died for you!!! it's real and you can experience it right now, right away.. Pray to Jesus from you heart and ask Him to forgive you and guide you and you will feel the difference if you mean it... God bless you

Of course God forgives mistakes from the past!

Everyone has made mistakes, so don't feel badly about that.

I don't think you have to worry about dead relatives seeing your mistakes.

Especially if you believe in Jesus, because then all your mistakes are washed away and forgotten by God.

Here are a couple of great songs about your question:

Hide by Joy Williams
The Real Me by Natalie Grant

I hope you'll give those a listen and be reassured that you are forgiven.

Everyone makes mistakes in his life. But feeling guilt of mistakes for ever makes us mad! They say - To err is human, to forgive is devine! If you acknowledge the pain of the guilt and want to change, then you can get through anything. You should forgive yourself and dont give up just for today. Make a life that last another day!

Every sin that we ever commit- past, present and future- can be forgiven- however, sins can only be forgiven through the shed blood of Christ- so if you want your past mistakes wiped clean- this is what you must do-
1- admit that you are a sinner- I think you have already done that
2- confess those sins to God, and repent- (turn from them)
3- accept Christ as full payment for your sin, and accept Him as Savior and allow Him to be Lord of your life.

Anyone that passes away is only accountable for his/her own sin, and what they did with Christ while on the earth. If you want to talk more, email if you can.

if your catholic nope god is vengful
if your jewish lets not go there
if your a gentile then as lang as you ask for forgiveness you get it
if you agnostic then maybe
if your atheist then you obviously don't need to be forgiven
if you pagan your reincarnated unless its a Christian god then your going to hell
if your in a cult then ask your leader if you should be asking this question
as far as I know it all depends on what you believe
btw I was only joking about these
thats the beauty of religion you can start your own
or just believe what you want
all faiths have 2 major things in common except atheist which is the lack there of
1. they instill a sense of morals i.e. Christians have 10 commandments and pagans have the 3 fold law
the 2nd is to believe that their is a being that you praise for your existence
if in doubt run consult 2 clergymen one of your faith and one of another

Jesus died for all your sins, past, present and future, when you stand before God and the books are opened your page will be clean.

Get yourself a New Living translation of the Holy Bible and read all the answers for yourself. It is written in plain modern English. Then you won't have to worry anymore, you will have the answers.

Jesus said that not only does He forgive mistakes, but He redeems them and takes away the shame produced by them. He asks only one thing from you when you go to Him for forgiveness: Believe that He can do it.

"Without faith it is impossible to please God; he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him."
- Apostle Paul, Hebrews 11:6

More important :Do you forgive yourself for past mistakes?

Life is just a classroom where you are the pupil.

By the way to be successful in life you have to make mistakes.

Yes Of Course! He said that if we confess our sins he is faithfull and just to cleanse our sins and make us whole again.

God not only forgives us...he forgets!

He wants you to forget your past and move on with your Life for he has come so that you may have life and have it more abundantly!

Sometimes i worry about my grandma seeing me do crap too!!! I though i was nuts!!! Yes, If you are penitent and want to turn away from sin, God is willing to forgive you !! Even for little things it's impossible for us to remember! I don't think God allows people in heaven to know anything about us that it wouldn't be beneficial to our salvation for them to know. That would certainly take away from their eternal happiness, especially if there were nothing they could do to help us. So, i wouldn't sweat it too much, unless Grandma shows up one day............
