If you happen to have a link to a photograph of chemical paper, that would be wonderful .

Thanks in advance .

Hi again Chris,

Sorry for the confusion :-)
I meant carbon paper. It's just that in my country we say «papel químico» and I could not remember the english word.

Kind regards,

José

Chemical paper is another word for 'test strip'. You ad some liquid to that paper and for instance the change in color can tell you something about that liquid.

In photography it is the paper you use to make the prints in the dark room. The other kind is what you use in your (computer) printer hence the distinction.

No clue what it has to do with painting though. You could paste a photograph to your canvas..but I doubt that is what you mean.

Do you mean "chemically made" paper? ...Chemically processed {wood} pulp rather than the stuff that's more organic... beaten, stomped, machine processed and so on?

In painting? ...I would think it depends on the manufacturer and type of paper but I don't see why anything that's 100% rag or handmade, like many fine art papers, Japanese papers and so on, would require chemical processing aside from bleaching and PH balancing {If at all}...

I think you can assume that most cheap, commercial paper and that made from wood is chemically produced.
