It is not healthy to block pain and emotion, I do understand what you feel, but if you do not face the music , it will always be there, and you will loose the learning and the possible benefit of understanding yourself and become stronger more aware and more in control of your emotion and your life . face your pain and you will become freer , stronger, more powerful. be courageous go to a counselor give yourself the gift of freedom!

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I will say it anyway: don't try to block the emotion or the pain out, do what you can to cope with it by taking deep breaths and as cheesy as it may sound, thinking positively.
I've been there myself a time or two, and I was placed on medications that shut me off entirely and I can say from experience that you can't live forever without feeling and if you lose those feelings for a period of time, they are that much worse when you get them back.
Try to surround yourself with positive people who care about you, try not to sweat the small stuff and not to worry about things, focus on yourself first then concern yourself with others. Talk to someone you trust, it can help the stress a lot.

You sound like you should be on medication for depression. It's possible to block out emotions but they will only sit in your guts and simmer there until they come out in the worst way. It is not possible to block physical pain, unless you are some crazy monk type guy. Just stop caring. Say "whatever" to all the bad things in your life and spend more time with the people who give you positive feelings.

What about that one person that doesn't let you down... and won't disappoint you?
When you don't have hope, and you cannot believe an anyone... you dwell in a box with one person.... and that person is you.... does that sound exciting?
well, I'll tell you, it's not.
I'm not saying you should to trust everyone, or be overly vulnerable... that'll get ya hurt real quick,
but there is somebody you can believe in.... I don't wanna get all religious on ya...
the fact is that God will never let you down or disappoint you, no matter what, believe me I've tried to prove that wrong, and I couldn't, he loved me too much.
Once you learn what love is, and he can show you better than anyone, then you see clearly and not through these eyes that are stuck on the past.
I just want you to know that, even if I didn't answer your question.
You are loved. Don't miss out on it.

Well, I can´t think of a way. I guess you can pretend you just don´t care about anything, but eventually you´ll explode and start feeling again. I guess it´s a human condition. Even psycopaths have feelings and emotions.
Or instead of blocking emotions you can learn how to manage them, that is you having the power of deciding how to feel. That´s possible and can be learning, you can control what you think of something and eventually what you feel about something. I´m not saying it´s easy, but is possible.

Speaking from personal experience, it's not healthy (mentally or physically) to avoid/block out your emotions. I did this for the las 15 years, and it effected my life with so much negativeness it's horrible. Those who want try not to feel their pain tend to turn to things like alcohol, drugs, etc. I turned to food. To this day I deal with my eating disorder and must attend counseling to deal with what happened to me YEARS ago. It's hard confronting the past, it's exhausting. So I encourage you to do it now. Don't allow your pain/emotions stop you from living a healthy life.
Be strong, be blessed.

Ask you doctor for a heavy sedative. Really, you would be worse off not feeling anything. Learn to not take things so personally. You are probably a very sensitive person. There's no cure for that except growing a bit thicker skin and surrounding yourself with people that make you feel good if you can.

the only way i can think of at the moment is to expose yourself to pain all of the time, as frequently as you can.... sooner or later your body will adapt to the physical and mental toture it would be receiving. have fun with that....
