Very very few places in England will accept Euros - it is not the official currency - and any one who does accept Euros can set their own exchange rate , which might not be favourable to you.

The official currency in England is the Pound Stirling (GBP) and that is what you need - they are accepted everywhere. (as are debit and credit cards)

You do not necessarily need to bring pounds - many people consider that the cheapest option is to use an ATM as soon as they land to get pounds using their Debit (or credit if you want) card.
