someone in a relationship says that they love the other person after a couple weeks or less of dating. They just like how the other person looks.. It is very immature and naive. I see a lot of middle and high school kids doing this. What are your views?

my ex boyfriend sayed he loved me after 2 days. it scared me to death!!! when a guy does that he doesn't really mean it he just says it to say it cause your his gf now so he might feeel obligated to say that cause it's fun..

I think that in most cases middle and high schoolers say "I love you" without understanding the importance because that is the natural thing we are taught to say by society. Sometimes people feel a special connection with someone after only a few days or weeks of dating and make the assumption that they are in love. Although it may grow to be real love, as it was with my boyfriend and I, it takes time for those sort of feelings to grow. The highly dramatized "love at first sight" should really be called "lust at first sight" because you can't truly love someone you don't even know.

I think its more of lust than love. I know i can not love someone after such a short time (unless of course its when yo give birth to your children). You have to understand that kids, esp those in middle school really do not have the same concept of love when they are that age. When i was in middle school, me and the other girls,, would send notes back and forth to guys. circle this if you like me, circle this if you love me and circle this if you don't like me.
