I've had conditions in the past regarding my stomach and the pain I feel, real deep pain in my gut for about 5 to 7 seconds and then it goes away. The doctor on base here suggested Aciphex but that doesn't seem to help anymore. I do not wanna go to the doctor and go through all these tests like blood drawn, x-ray on stomach, stool sample, its just too much and I feel their doing it to maximize their incomes and business. Please someone give me some ideas as to what I should take or if someone else has gone through these problems I'd love to hear from you, Sincerely; Mike in Kuwait

What you have are very serious symptoms that could be ulcers, acid reflux or even more serious such as cancer. Do yourself a favor and see a doctor. Stop worrying about their incomes and worry about your health instead!

You know you really should go to the doctor!!! I've struggled with the kind of stomach pains your describe--stomach sort of tightens and there is intense pain for a few seconds that stops and then comes again a while later for a few seconds, over and over--which I thought were a lot like labor pains, but higher up, just under the sternum. Buscopan works really well for those pains. The heartburn can be treated with Zantac, and the Zantac and Buscopan can be taken together with no problem. Nexium works well for heartburn, but it costs a heck of a lot more than Zantac, and I'm not sure about taking it along with Buscopan (you'd have to ask a pharmacist about that).

Well, try this first and if it doesnt work I am afraid you should have the tests. Go to the vitamin store and get papaya enzyme pills. they are fantastic for all sorts of digestion problems. They stop acid stomach instantly, they help with any sort of tummy ache, they help with pain, cramps, gas, and digesting things that your stomach is having trouble with. These are great tasting, natural, and they work. they work better, much better than peptobismal, or milk of magneesa, tums, rolaids, or anything on the market. I feel you should take them as soon as the pain starts and keep taking them (you cant overdose at all) until it subsides. Also it is a great idea to keep a journal of when the pain comes up, like what did you eat before it started, or how long has it been since you ate??? Anyway, that will take care of any issue temporarily and like I said before, if it continues or worsens, see a dr, tell him that you dont want to run every test in the world, that you want to discuss it in great detail and narrow the possibilities so that you can conserve your finances.

Best of luck!!

You really should give in and have the tests run to rule out anything serious. But Nexium has been the answer to my heartburn and gerd. However, luckily I'm in America.

Different thing work for different people.
For me Nexium worked wonders, but some other people told me pepcid works for them, and still other people said Prilosec is their drug of choice.
You could also try a daily regimen of yogurt.
Yogurt has enzymes your body needs to properly digest your food and break down the acids.

Nothing her stomach hurts that is all. I would get her some sprite or pepto bismol to make her feel better perhaps. I wouldn't automatically assume it's her time of the month. She could be hungry or ate something bad.
