I was thinking of using Demeter as my goddess on my altar and just wanted to know what other wicans thought about it..I love greek mythology and I like the fact that shes all about the growth of crops and plants and other things.....who is your god or goddess on your altar if any?

Obviously I don't believe in your christian god so why do some christians think they have to try to shove it in peoples throats...man has truly ruin christianity by killing mayans if the did not become christian...also jew and many other kids of people

You should have any god that fulfills you.
I am pagan but I no longer believe in gods ( I believe 'god' is a personification of human ideals) however when I did I used whatever god suited my need. It was a good way for me to find focus. My particular favorite was Athena/Minerva.... a brilliant, thinking woman....

GREEK MYTHOLOGY IS AWESOME! but I dont know much of it and i want to learn greek but i dont have any1 to teach me as for a God i choose to follow the one and only God. btw if you know greek PLEASE help me to learn and teach me more about mythology so i could figure out who i would serve if i believed in that
and people use the phrase "shoving their religion down our throats" tooooo much i mean if you even mention your religion or try to witness once you get accused of "shoving it down their throat" lighten up were just tryin to show you what we believe we dont get riled up when you tell us what you believe we simply say "hey we think thats wrong this is what we think"
i dont know much about about the myans other than i'm part myan...but cortez was catholic and catholics are like Muslims only they are more popular and havent blown people up but the great crusades was a catholic drivin campaign against the Muslims although the Muslims started it. and the holocaust wasnt started by Christians it was started by nazis if thats what you mean by jews
(dont know if that changed your minds about Christians but there ya go)

The one true God, God the Father does not approve of us having other gods. He is the only God, the Creator, and gave His only Son to save us. He created nature, and does not expect us to worship it, or the stars, or anything except Him.

Well, we all have the ability to become as God, but to become like him you have to believe in him. To believe in him you have to have faith. With faith God will show you that he exists. God will then show you the way if you stay humble and have faith in him, and allow him to lead you. You will need to sacrifice you time and sins for him.
