what will i need to do to my 2005 Dodge Cummins Turbo, I raced a Z60 2005 vette. I beat him in the 1/4 mile drags about 2 car lenghts.

I want more performance by way of the TURBO and changing my exhaust system. I know this truck can be faster than a EVO 7 - 8 and WRX STI, turning a 10.47 in a1/4 mile @ 124.64
what do ya reconmend as for after market parts ?

The GUY that was driving the VETTE eas very cocky thinking that he had me
2. I already know that a TURBO on any thing makes big power or helps it Go faster from a start.
3. I know Automotive Mechanics But Being into HOT RODS and some IMPORT cars I haven't given to much though to a Turbo Diesel being a HOTRod until i seen a DuraMax eat a Viper on a 1/4 mile run. "repeatly" thats when i took a closer look, diesels are already hi compression engines but are very slow on take off, until the TURBO was installed with a strong enough tranny for the TQ.
So now Im looking at them as a dominating option instead of a gas turbo engine. The amazing thing is the trucks weight, because It don't seems like it has an effect on the power out put or capability of Power with aftermarket bolt ons and tuner modules
So I compaired all the diesel pickups to see who has the best one made and Dodge Cummins seemsto be the strongest with the Duramax next inline for performance.
Good lookin Out 4 UR Info

I never thought that by just opening the Turbo system up that so much power could be gained from a Diesel

Unless you bought a truck that already has a lot of modifications there is now way that you're going to beat a z06 corvette on a stock turbo. Some of the newer trucks with the right tuning/fueling can run in the high 13's but that's still not what a z06 can do.
My best advice to you is join a forum and learn all about your truck and the parts available for it. You can see what worked and what did not work for other owners of the same truck. You made the right choice, as the Cummins is the best diesel to build for big power.
I have a 2003 Cummins pushing 526 horsepower and 996lb-ft of torque, so in case you feel I don't know about diesels, I know very much, it's just too darn much to type out.

I think there is some lying going on here. Because if you already able to beat a Z06 then you have already done some things to your Dodge so you know what aftermarket parts to use. Unless an 80 year old grandma was driving without her glasses I don't think you beat a Z06. Especially since that car weighs at least 3,000 lbs. less than your truck. Sorry don't believe this one at all.
