Its has some terrier, some spaniel, and a few other breeds in there. What you have is an All American Mutt. A good mix. The coloration and pattern suggests some spaniel (springer, britt, field), the dog definantly looks a bit wormy I would get him wormed soon. His black freckling on the stomach and legs also is an indication of some type of spaniel. His head is definantly terrierish. Rat terrier, Manchester, Jack Russell even kinda Mini Pin. He's got alot of other breeds running in there but those are the main 2 breed groups that are dominanting. Its near impossible for ANYONE to tell you a specific TYPE of terrier or Spaniel, and NO he doesn't have Pittbull in him.
Pittbulls are distinctly jaw heavy. In every true pittbull mix I have EVER seen you get that shaped head and chest in the mix, that is always dominanting in the offspring. The head would be boxy, not pointed, the ears are pricked, and Pitts ears when natural, are floppy, Pitts are terriers but they dont have the distinct terrier build we see in most of the terriers. Prick ears are products of terriers and certian herding dogs, His ears are pretty pointed and maybe pointed enough to stand up in that case, you may be looking at a herding type dog in the blood, along with terrier. His body shape is not rounded and low slung for a hound though its possible to have it. His legs look stout and shaped like a spaniels, his tail has a spaniel quality kinda stubby. Remember folks there are LOTS of diffrent spaniels out there. Once the bloated belly goes down I would think he looks alot like a springer puppy with out the fluffy coat.
After showing this pic to my friend who raises Boston Terriers, she said she sees a little Boston Terrier in him, she took in a litter of Boston/Jack Russells for rescue and they look very close to this puppy. I will try to get her to email me in a pic so I can post it.

Well fed dogs do not BLOAT up... they get rounded, his belly size in comparison to his body is that he is bloated. Bloating is caused by the worms in the digestive tract. Worms are parasites. There are several diffrent types, and depending on which it has, they attach themselves to diffrent parts of the dogs digestive system. They feed on the nutrients the dogs eats. They multiply and lay eggs in the stools of the dog and are passed from the body to re-infect other animals and sometimes people.
The dog eats but doesnt feel satified because the body is being deprived of nutrients. Since he was a puppy and very young one he got the worms from mom, the worms were young and werent causing a problem since he was nursing, now that hes not and on solid food the demand for nutrition from the growing worm load is causing him to eat too much and he is bloating to compensate for what the worms are taking out. Why do you not want to worm him? Its easy, its benificial and good for the dog.

He is still very young so it is hard to tell...but I don't see pit bull in him at all. I do see terrier in him though, his paws aren't that big so it kind of makes me think he's got some jack Russell in him and isn't going to get over 30 pounds. It's just my opinion though, when you take him to the vet they can give you a much better guess and tell you if he has worms a lot. It's not a big deal if he does, most puppies have them and it's really cheap to by the treatment! Good Luck!

He looks a bit like a Parson Russell Terrier - the V ears and head shape seem that way in one picture. This breed is fairly common, so could have contributed to his heritage. His coat is different from it, and his coloring may get him labeled as a border collie by some, but it's too short.

ETA: I like the "spaniel" argument another poster said. I agree. :)

You should probably get him wormed because he was a stray - simple as that. Dogs eat all kinds of crap (literally), and a trip to the vet could tell you lots about this little guy, like how old he is.

No matter if you keep this little guy or rehome him, he needs to see a vet to make sure he's okay. Good luck!

ETA: "Worming" is something your vet will do. The vet gives the puppy a syringe of stuff that gets the worms out. I don't know much about it, other than some dogs don't like the taste, but my weirdo dog did. :)

I wouldn't guess pitbull until the dog is older, it appears like a young puppy to me. In my experience, many puppies look like pit bulls. I have a lab/great dane mix, she is 4 mos old and still looks like a pit. Looks like terrier like a lot of other ppl said. Looking at the pics again, I really doubt it is a pit. But definitely some kind of mix. and needs to be wormed.

It looks like maybe some Jack Russell, and who knows what else, but it's cute. And,the puppy needs to be wormed because nearly all puppies have worms, and they're bad for them. The pup will also need shots,so it doesn't get parvo, distemper, etc. And,when it's old enough,in a few months,it should be fixed ( spayed/neutered.) To learn about the care of your new puppy, just Google "puppy care" or go to the library or book store and get some books on dog care.

Edit: You're the one with the Rottweiler with the huge lump under it's jaw.Apparently, you don't know much about dogs. You need to take the Rott and this puppy to the vet.
