Now and then comments come back to me how im stuck up etc because i didnt talk enough in this or that conversation, when the truth is i like to evaluate people and listen more - i open up more when i get to know a person.

Every attractive person gets called that before they open their mouths. society (in general) treats the genetically blessed to be b@%h until proven otherwise.
Don't worry. Be yourself. It's still a blessing. Don't change who you are. Just let them get to know you.... or not. :-)

...On practically a daily basis! I don't really care what other people think, because I've found that by being myself (i.e., quiet and observing my surroundings), I weed out the types of people I wouldn't want to associate with (things that don't coincide with the kind of life I want to live), and end up with a very nice group of friends who really understand me. Anyone who would be so judgmental and shallow so as to think that I'm a b**ch just because I'm quiet is not the type of person I would generally associate with anyhow.

I get this all the time, until people get to me (If it comes to that) I'm very stand offish with strangers or people I don't know well. I try to just smile and show interest, sometimes that works- they just figure I'm not a talker?! But, some think I'm stuck up, think i'm better than them, or a B#*ch?!

I consider being called a ***** quite a compliment. And it makes a person totally defenseless when you turn around to them after they have just called you a ***** and say "thank you." The look on their face is priceless.
Don't worry about what people say about you or think. Most people are idiots, and besides, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and most people will freely express them even if you don't ask for them.
You are who you are, and that is all that matters.

People are generally pretty perceptive. Not to say that your a beast or what not, just to say that perhaps you should consider things with a less critical eye. Or if I'm off base and you aren't critical (could very well be true) then try smiling when you are watching. You'll find it makes quite a difference.

i am exactly the same way always have been in school at work im an analyzer thats how i learn andi like to feel out the crowd before i jump in and tell all my buisness. iguess a leader
thats a good thing people think u r a b*&%* that means they must be thinking hard about you trying to firgue you out! just be you who cares what people think! ive been called that girls would say oh layla thinks cause she is cute her sh*& dnt stink but then i met a couple friends in school that say they like me and respect me cause i wsnt stuck up. im modest i dnt care what people think of me cause im confident in the way i am!

most people cant shut their mouths for 5 seconds, let alone imagine some one who *gasp* doesn't need or want to talk constantly, and this scares them. Its like you've got leprosy or something to them, and they'd rather be derogatory than figure out if your really that or not, so don't pay attn to them, if they wont take time to learn who you are now, they wont take time to listen later. And boss' like quite evaluative employees over gabbers.

All the time. I am really shy and have had this problem my whole life. After people get to know me, they always tell me that they thought i was a stuck up *****. LOL

O MY GOD! that is so me, and I know it sux since you do not make any friends because of it . If you ask me though I agree it takes time to establish a "REAL" friendship, and of course it takes time to get to know someone. Some people are just out to look for a good time friend. I say just be patient!
