Can I just load XP in English over the top of XP Chiinese?

I have been working with XP Pro. Chinese version for a year and it's very frustrating. I have now got an Enmglish version.Do I just put the cd in and run it? Will my old files transfer across. i.e. my documents particularly.

When doing anything you are not sure of with computers... always backup your data!

Your windows XP will overwrite your chinese version so it pretty much like a fresh install. Which means your documents will not be there.

You can do this, just install over your exsisting partition, do not delete it, Just incase back up all data.
