My mom was the epitome of a Christian women.

The first book I ever read from (at the age of 4) was the bible.

I attended church two or three times a week until the age of 12.

Then I went to the library and learned the truth about every religion I could find history on.

So, threw away the brainwashing decades ago.

Trinity,
If you were brainwashed by mormons it must have been ones that cant even spell their own nicknames.
Since I grew up mormon I know for a fact that I was taught to never take anyones faith as my own and to question, ask, study and pray about everything I was taught. I was also taught to get as much secular education as possible and be as involved in the community as possible.
If you were brainwashed by these bad spelling mormons than it was your fault for not actually doing what the religion teaches and to find a testimony of your own and never rely on anyone elses. That is your own fault.

You are just full of questions tonight aren't you. You cannot be brainwashed by something that you choose to join freely. or have a choice to leave at any time. I don't know of any church in the world that holds a member at gun point and threatens to kill them if they leave.

Now there may be a whole lot of damnation talk but no murder.

Free will and freedom from religious persecution in the us.
most Christians choose to be a christian

All religions are based on the sturdy commencing place of the human lack of self assurance - from which we've suffered over a millennium or greater and nonetheless suffering. non secular books are customarily own critiques, perspectives mixed with beneficiant helpings of colourful memories to make it sound important - very equivalent to the ornamental rain-dance of the tribal priest - who knew lots in strengthen the right arrival of monsoon. So faith is a good break out for almost all our insecurities. And so are the numerous philosophies which capture us each now and then - if somebody says that 1000 years of journey, fact and know-how is going into it ... then he would desire to savour that expertise being incomplete - all such know-how is likewise incomplete and could constantly deliver approximately conflict in our concepts. faith has additionally been the perfect killer so a ways ! a toddler is born ignorant - all of us are - and then the attitude ( in maximum circumstances lack of self assurance) builds them - and of direction there are situations whilst a guy builds his own attitude with a sturdy commencing place of questioning and reason. a guy or woman who isn't guided by ability of theory or expertise is the main happiest guy or woman - like the ignorant toddler or the senseless mad guy we come for the era of each so often - they'd quite chortle ! we are satisfied until expertise and its by ability of goods corrupts our concepts.

No Mr. Goober, but I've been blood-washed by Christ Jesus. And since that day I've found what freedom truly means. In Christ, I am free from the power of sin, a guilty conscience of past sins, and free from the fear of tomorrow and even death.
