Or is there another less expensive way to reach the Downtown, like rail / metro / bus? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

i work at LAX. Four ways to get to downtown. The Metrorail system is about $5 for an all day pass. Stand under the Blue sign and take the LAX shuttle "G" to the Green line. This shuttle is free. Take a taxi, most expensive $30-$50. Take a regular bus, again $5 for an all day pass. Stand under the Blue sign and take the "C" shuttle to the bus depot which is right outside the airport. And the 4th option, take Supershuttle or Prime time shuttle, they are under the Orange sign. About $10-$20.

It all depends on traffic and trust me LA always has traffic. You are better off taking a super shuttle. You will have to ride with other passengers in the van but the fee is about $20 flat,(traffic or no traffic)

a fast option for only $4.00 is the flyway bus to Union station
it picks up at all the terminals and direct nonstop servcie to Union station, then you can hop metro rail or one of the dash buses

I would say about 50-70 dollars depedning on traffic and such, when calling the cab you should say you want a flat rate so they cant overcharge you!

It depends on the traffic.

But I would say probably $30.

Eventhough it is less than 20 miles away.
