Which version do you love more?
I'll stick to Thin Lizzy, though I perfer Metallica to Thin Lizzy, I like the Thin Lizzy version better

I am a huge Metallica fan and like Metallica;s version. I like the Thin Lizzy version as it is the original and very few cover versions are ever as good as the original (Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt being a rare exception) but Metallica's version has the balls that Lizzy's version doesn't. If I had to choose one I would say Metallica.
How is the mosquito bite doing ?

I love Thin Lizzy's original!
I only heard the Metallica version a few years ago ~ I do like it, but not as much.

They sound pretty much the same but I'll give the nod to Thin Lizzy mainly because I saw Metallica's truly awful video for this song and it turned me off.

Thin Lizzy! Usually the first band who performs a song is the version I like the best.

Thin Lizzy! I like both versions, but the Think Lizzy version is just better. I also love this one that's on an Irish Drinking Music CD that I have, it's drunk guys in a pub, good stuff.

I liked metallica's version better even though i'm not a big fan of any post and justice for all metallica

I like both for their time...I think the Metallica version sounds better but ,it was recorded with better equipment.

Belle and Sebastian have a version too!!
Belle and Sebastian's version is probably the best.
There are plenty of other versions out there: The Pogues, The Dubliners, U2, Pulp and Smokie.
Anyone know of any other versions?
