ok heres the scenario: a guy and a girl are going out. while they re going out, he sends her some inappropriate pictures and she saves them. after they break up he tells her to get rid of the pictures but she doesn't and keeps them. is she breaking any laws if they are both minors? if so, what?

Possession of child pornography is illegal, consentual or not. I'd get rid of the pics.

"Child", by definition, means under 18 years old.

If the pictures are pictures of them "having fun", then the pictures are evidence of a crime. They could be found later and cause either party, but especially the guy, to get in trouble.

If they are minors then they are both breaking the laws. Him for sending child porn and her for keeping it.
