In my opinion, it would not be an option. This is suppose to be a man of the law and what makes him think that he is above the law and can tell lies about his ex wife. If there were reasons his ex should not have custody of the children, that should be the judge's decision based on truth. I would stay as far away from this man as possible. If he told lies about the mother of his children, he will also lies about others if it benefits him. You could be his next victim so stay clear of this guy. Good luck.

I don't know that afraid would be the word, I would say, do you want to date a person that lies?
He is a human being first and a cop 2nd.
You must be close to the family, who do you think should have had custody of the kids. Was there a serious problem with the mom, like drug use or abuse to the kids?
If not, then you have to live with your conscience knowing that he lied and you did nothing.

in case you mis-pointed out your self for "supply up and % out" after the police observed you dedicated a criminal offense or site visitors violation with the intention to conceal that crime then you definately could face criminal costs. Failing to assist or obey an officer, interfering with a police analyze, and presenting fake suggestion to police are some costs that spring to recommendations. If the police officer sees you lower back, they can supply up you lower back and arrest you a at a similar time as from now reckoning on the statutes of barriers on your state. not purely that, yet once you're pulled as quickly as extra via yet another officer you will possibly be arrested reckoning on the situations. maximum cops video and audio record each and each automobile supply up this is made, so assume that it somewhat is saved. i assume that notes have been linked to the automobile supply up record emphasizing which you stated the information of your delivery date have been screwed up, so all officers will comprehend you lie next time you get pulled over. additionally, judges do no like once you misinform regulation enforcement because of the fact it potential you would be able to lie in court docket and the decide would not be lenient. Take this as a gaining knowledge of lesson, and don't lie or dedicate any crimes. once you're caught via the police, only shop your mouth close, and don't say something until eventually you get a criminal expert.

Yes, unfortunately- you should be VERY afraid. there is the "old boy network and blue wall" issue here. not to take away from your difficulties, but consider this: i experienced a death in the family, heated arguments and all the real fun stuff - one of the participants was a fireman and he called his police officer friends to help "subdue me" because i was intoxicated and argued. the guy is 6' 5" and about 225 - i am 5 feet 1/2". he put me in a choke hold and i almost died - lied when the police got to the site of the supposed -altercation and said that i assaulted him. i ALMOST went to jail, but things happened to save me - trust me, honey, the ding dong dong can't be so good that you will even try to continue with this crap - let the asshole go!

I think that if the ex-wife was an alcoholic or something then he did what was best for the kids. But this thing sounds sketchy to me.

Yes. Someone who uses their standing or position in life to further their cause [by deception] is worse than the regular a street thief. If it happened to her, what makes you think something equally deceptive won't happen to you?

here is an old saying that you should memorize.
to be forewarned is to be forearmed
you now know what fine stuff he is made of, and if he does the same thing to you you will have no one to blame but yourself!

If you have doubts & he admits he lied, it would be a very rocky relationship so I would say no.
