In my opinion, it would not be an option. This is suppose to be a man of the law and what makes him think that he is above the law and can tell lies about his ex wife. If there were reasons his ex should not have custody of the children, that should be the judge's decision based on truth. I would stay as far away from this man as possible. If he told lies about the mother of his children, he will also lies about others if it benefits him. You could be his next victim so stay clear of this guy. Good luck.

I don't know that afraid would be the word, I would say, do you want to date a person that lies?
He is a human being first and a cop 2nd.
You must be close to the family, who do you think should have had custody of the kids. Was there a serious problem with the mom, like drug use or abuse to the kids?
If not, then you have to live with your conscience knowing that he lied and you did nothing.

Yes, unfortunately- you should be VERY afraid. there is the "old boy network and blue wall" issue here. not to take away from your difficulties, but consider this: i experienced a death in the family, heated arguments and all the real fun stuff - one of the participants was a fireman and he called his police officer friends to help "subdue me" because i was intoxicated and argued. the guy is 6' 5" and about 225 - i am 5 feet 1/2". he put me in a choke hold and i almost died - lied when the police got to the site of the supposed -altercation and said that i assaulted him. i ALMOST went to jail, but things happened to save me - trust me, honey, the ding dong dong can't be so good that you will even try to continue with this crap - let the asshole go!

I think that if the ex-wife was an alcoholic or something then he did what was best for the kids. But this thing sounds sketchy to me.

red flag!!! yes you should be afraid, whats to say it doesnt work out but you have three kids with this guy, whats he going to do and who will believe you? i think you are smart to think about this now and not when you are three months pregnate. good idea , get out now and save your future and yourself.
