Tell your husband not to be embarrassed about front teeth not in great shape AT LEAST IT IS HIS OWN TEETH.
Conservative dentist is what you need. Bridge???? if he need to replace a tooth, he is better off going for implants. A maxillo-facial surgeon is your best choice of posing an implant then a general dentist can make a crown on implant. Maxillo-facial surgeon and your dentist should communicate with each other in order to have a successful implant.
Your dentist can take impression for a flipper (temporary denture) to replace a missing tooth while waiting for the healing of the bone around implant. About 6-8 weeks he/she can pose the crown on implant.
By the way for a bridge. the dentist need to remove a good amount of enamel and dentin on two adjacent teeth in order to do a bridge. If there is no need to do that please.......be conservative.

General dentists CAN do the implants but NOT the teeth...a prosthodontist creates the teeth.... IF he has a bone density problem in his jaw, he might not be a candidate for implants and MIGHT not even be able to wear regular dentures... his teeth are lose which suggests his gums have receeded and fallen away from the tooth root. This will continue to happen unless he has pariodontal surgery but even THAT doesn't help always.. I went through the pariodontal surgery THEN lost the teeth then had a bone grafting of my hipbone to my upper jaw and then had 6 dental implants and a set of teeth that was screwed into the implants... implants are NOT covered by insurance and neither was my teeth... Implants are about $2000 - $2500 PER IMPLANT and my teeth were $8,000 (prices were quoted to me by SEVERAL maxilliofacial surgeons and 3 prosthodontists... a bridge would only be a good idea if the teeth that are left are STABLE and in no danger of becoming lose and that seems highly unlikely since he already HAS lose teeth.....thing is, he should be asking these questions to his DENTIST.....

Yes he can go to a dentist, mine has a denture guy in the building that works with him. They can do impressions and have him come back for the extractions when the partial is ready. Then he doesn't have to go toothless. If there's some adjustments after he might have to let them keep them for an hour or two, but they understand that you can be embarrassed and try to make sure you are looked after efficiently. I'm not sure about implants, on TV they seem to just put them in in one day. It is more what you can afford.

well..
he can either go to a periodontist(gum specialist) and opt for treatment..
or where i prctice..he can go to a general dentist..extract all the 3 teeth..
then he can either choose to do denture, bridge, or even implants if he has the money(only qualified dentist can do implants)but still..he has to take great care of his teeth espcially if he opts for bridge or implant

THIS IS CALLED A FLIPPER. A DENTIST CAN REMOVE ALL THAT IS UNPLEASING TO HIM WITH FUTURE PLANS FOR EITHER IMPLANTS, A BRIDGE, OR A PARTIAL DENTURE.
DISCUSS THIS WISH WITH A DENTIST.
