My mom flosses, clips her toe nails, files her nails and uses a pumice stone in the living room. I try to eat in there and stuff. She also burns her arm hair off over the stove in the kitchen. I find it disgusting. She thinks i'm weird for thinking so. What do you think? Also, what should I do about it?

hmmm, i am trying to think of how to help ya here, try going into her room, leaving a playboy in her bed, and maybe she will get the hint!.. if you a guy, if not, let me know and i will try to think up somethin else!..

Well flossing should be done in the bathroom, clipping your toes not as bad, filing your nails doesn't really matter where you do it, and the pumas stone is gross and should be done in the bath room. And the arm hair thing is just weird. But there isn't anything you can do, it is her house so she can do as she pleases. Eat at the kitchen table where you belong.

What's gross is having to change diapers. Cleaning up after a child has vomited. These are all the things your mom has probably done for you. So please, if she wants to pluck her eye brows, file her nails or clip her toe nails, let her. What are you doing eating in the living room? Yes, relaxing after a hard day of school/work. Just like MOM.

Really there is nothing you can do about your mom's habits. The little stuff she does in the living room, you will find that lots of people do that but burning her hair off on the stove is another thing, that is gross.

I suppose that it's your mom's house, so she can do what she wants? I don't clip my toenails and other things in the living room, but I am guilty of filing my fingernails and putting on fingernail polish in the living room.
Eat in the kitchen..that's why kitchen tables were invented.. i never eat in the living room (except an occasional snack.... )

shes your mother, its her house not yours, nothing you can do about it. the only thing i really find nasty is burning her hairs on the stove. the rest is fine, as long as she cleans it up after which im guessing she prob. does. and u should b eating in the kitchen at the table

Go to school, get a great job, and move out! Then you can do whatever you want in your own living room. But we do have bathrooms in these modern time for personal hygiene.

I agree it is gross she should do these things in her own room or the bathroom instead.Other people use the living room,it,s bad hygiene to groom herself totally in there or in the kitchen.

Yea, I think it is a little inconsiderate. I hate it when my hubby does stuff like that anywhere in the house except the bathroom. Maybe you could mention to her that you like to eat there and ask her to go to the bathroom... Good luck!
