"Nervous breakdown" is slang for a sudden onset of mental illness. It is not a real clinical term, if you look in a current book on psychiatry, you won't find a definition for "nervous breakdown."
It may have been a real term sometime before 1950, but I'm not sure about that.
I would guess that it usually means someone is clinically depressed and/or anxious, suicidal, unable to cope.
But I have worked in mental health medical records for 20 years and I have never known of a psychiatrist or any other mental health professional to use the term "nervous breakdown."
If you think it's happening to you, see a psychiatrist or other medical doctor.

You're not sharing enough here. A nervous breakdown is usually an outburst of emotions too long held in. If there's enough support, a person can move through this and feel a lot better. Without adequate support, things could get worse. Get professional help as soon as possible - a crises can be an opportunity for growth if handled well.

Yeah. It sucks. Outloud.
I did that about 15 years ago.
Don't recomend it to anyone.
Get some help - its out there.
There is no reason to go through that alone.
Besides, you need someone to guide you through the scariest neighboorhood on the planet - your own mind.
Get some help - your local community health department should be able to help you if you dont have insurance or cant afford mental health visits.
Trust me - talking about it with someone who is going to help you get out of it (as oppossed to talking to someone about the "why" of it all) will help get you on a better path.
Hang in there - no matter how it gets - everything eventually changes.

It doesn't matter what I, you or others believe. What matters is what God's word the bible says. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Feeling out of control, crying, overwhelmed. Kind of you would do anything to get someone to help. If you thing you are in the middle of one or almost there get help via 800 lines or doctor. Thinking of doing something crazy? If you go to the ER of any hospitial they can get you some help.
