Your mom CAN legally kick you out at the age of 16! believe me follow her rules don't be a knot head. If you mom is getting child support at 19 then it's BACK child support and you have NO right to it. Get your head straight I'm sure things aren't easy for her.

OH either way say sorry to her and move on, a mothers love is forever you will not find this love anywhere.

Your 18, so yes mom can legally kick you out, she's only legally obligated to maintain a roof over your head until you are 18. No you cannot get your dad's child support for you if you move out of mom's. Since you are an adult, and will be living on your own as an adult then no one get's child support. Even though he was supposed to pay until 19. If you were still living with mom then he would. The kicker is, someone (you could) has to tell child support that you are no longer living with mom. Legally she is supposed to, but will she? If no one tells the cs office then dad will keep paying it, and your mom will get money she does not deserve, because she is not taking care of you. You could ask your dad for "help" with the apt. thing, but I don't know how well you guys get along. Good Luck

I assume Dad is still paying child support because you're in still in high school OR you're in college and your state allows for child support during college (not all states do).

Regardless, you are now a legal adult and therefore Mom can kick you out. Of course, once she does Dad can immediately petition to terminate child support. So she can kick you out, but she can’t continue to receive child support if she does.

And, you can't receive the child support either (unless Dad voluntarily agrees to give you the money on his own). Child support is due to the parent, not the child.

Talk to your dad and explain to him the situation with your mother and that you want to move out and would he be willing to funnel the money he was normally giving your mom to care for you, directly to you.
One big catch, once you become a legal adult (in most cases 18) your father is no longer obligated to pay child support as you are, in the eyes of the law, no longer a child. Depending on your custody arrangment, the continuation of paying child support may extend into post secondary education support. (They jointly put money together so you can go to college or univ.)
Best to sit down with your dad and discuss before you move out.

Non-custodial parents only have to pay child support up until the age of 18 or until the young adult is finished with high school. This being said, you must still be in HS, so if your mom DOES kick you out she will lose that child support.

If you are 19 why is ur dad still pay for child support? Child support stops at 18. If she kicks you out look for your own place and tell your dad to give u the money directly since she's not supporting you anymore anyway

Yes, and if you are 19 your dad shouldn't be paying child support. That ends at 18. Either he forgot the birthday, or thinks it's a different day.
