I admit, I have sensitive ears to certain sounds. One of them being the bass sound in a car turned way up. It literally hurts and I can't stand it! Does anyone else have this happen? What can I do about it?

Actually the pain in your ears is psycological. It isnt bass noise that will do damage to your ears, its much higher up on the tone scale. Yes, i find it irritating too though, I dont really want to hear what the guy in the other car is listening to. But a few blocks later either he or I turn and its over.

Even though I am Deaf I can still hear that, and it just makes me jump. On the other hand my Mom has very senstitive ears, and she has to cover her ears when a car pass by with a very loud muffer, loud music and even loud trucks too.

Some areas/states have a law that the driver has to lower the volume of the car, otherwise there is nothing to do about it.

It is very irritating. I used to try shouting at the car "don't share!" but it never worked because they couldn't hear me over the bass. Now I either speed up or slow down and get out of range of the moron.

you could wear earplugs made for motorcyclists, a helmet at 70mph creates imminently damaging wind noise, and some special earplugs cut the crap but let you hear sirens and horns, but thats kinda silly.

Of course you could add sound dampening insulation. I'm sure theres stuff to cut the lower sound range, but the higher pitch of horns and sirens would slice through it.

that's obtainable to interrupt the bone on your ears. If it grow to be a hundred and fifty dB which could reason permeate listening to loss. i does not hear to something. I even have days as quickly as I could watch television with CC because of the fact of my recruitment. in case you have been deaf those sounds does not difficulty you. i'd see and ENT ASAP.
