My specific answer will not change the flow of the tides. However, no man is an island. Our beliefs, whether we like it or not, are influenced by paradigms of the day. If not a single atheist spoke up ever there would be millions of atheists going through the Christian (Muslim, Jewish, etc.) motions not realizing there are millions out there like them. So every little opinion counts.

No, but my intentions are not to change anybodies mind. I just answer the question the way I see fit. Maybe you will like my opinion, more likely you will not but maybe one person out there will understand what the hell I'm talking about. I'm not even serious most of the time.

I could care less if people change there minds on an issue. I'd rather have people see both sides and why people like both sides. Not this closed mindedness that we have going on. So if i can get people to question things and become more intellectual im happy.

Probably not, but if someone hasn't formulated their beliefs on a given topic, my answers might help with that--maybe. And those just looking to become more informed always benefit from thoughtful answers.

doubtful-most people on here arent looking for change just an arguement-this is an easy place to find one-the ones looking for help can sometimes get it because there are more good people on here than you would think-helps keep things a little cooler and calmer sometimes----enjoy the night

No. And that is fine with me. I don't want to change anyone. Atheism is Gods way of preventing over population in heaven. Who am I to interfere with his plan?

Every time my comment is chosen "best answer" and the questioner writes me and says it helped them immensely ... THAT'S what I'm aiming for. The rest of the time, I'm just throwing in my two cents worth ...

I am not sure most people know why they believe what they believe. I don't like to say that but it seems to be true. I am not sure you can change what someone believes if they can explain it themselves. If anything maybe what I write my cause them to question what the world is saying.

Quite possibly. I mean we're put here in the earth to help each other and socialize, learning from one another.

I'm not trying to change anyone's beliefs, I'm trying to get them to THINK about their beliefs.
