Sin was the term commonly used in the biblical days for a any person suffering with an illness nothing more. Lust over a person isn't a sin (illness) it's a healthy part of human life. Obsessive lust or stalking a person is a mental illness , also as with obsessive eating (Gluttony) leeds to obesity and illness's which became sins (illness). Sinners were people infected with a viral illness like S.T.D's, leprosy, and hepatitis's , etc that could be passed onto the general public. Being they didn't have any of the medication we have today to cure all kinds of illness's. To avoid people and infectious people would throw stones and rocks at people who were sick and infectious to keep them away from them and the general public as people would use a guns to avoid contact with a person infected with rabies or with embola. Sinners were not bad people they were the infectious, physically and mentally ill.

You have to look at it in three different ways. 1. Lust is not reproducing it is not sexual intercourse it is simply always having feelings and intense desire or craving for self gratification. 2. Was the human race really created by God or something religious? and 3. If the human race was not created by God then lust is not a problem; now is it?

A very deadly sin 1 of 7...we reproduce by getting married and then being with the one we love in a loving manner; it isn't just about sex it's the union between two persons who love one another for more than looks.

Lust could be more easily defined as an emotion that generates a physical arrousal. There is absolutely no sin in being arroused. How you decide to relieve that situation could possibky be defined as "sin". Should you decide to take advantage of someone that you have no emotional feelings for then you may be in fact be sinful. If you are very much in love with the person and are sharing a very personal experience...then maybe not. Whatever the case...you are responsible for your actions...if they result in procreation. you'd better be ready for it.

Lust and making love are two different things.
Lust is selfish
Making love is bringing the other into a state of ecstasy, while putting aside your own needs, wants and desires. There is a caring and attachment to it that leads down roads that may be rocky, but man, what a spectacular view.
Whereas lust brings you into the valley of darkness.

Lust of a husband and wife for each other is NOT a sin -- God created us to desire our spouses.
So don't worry -- the reproduction of the human race is going to be just fine.

Desire is not a sin. However, lust is an addiction to physical desire. The repercussions of constant physical desire can lead to inbalance. Too much of a good thing can sometimes give you more grief in the long run.
So there is always a need for balance when it comes to desire. Too much desire can hurt others. There is a lesson to learn in every symbolism created by the bible.
