When you're intimidating you make the person feel uncomfortable at times, nervous, daunting: discouraging through fear
It's not really a bad thing, but it isn't so good either, mostly if its being told by a man... not that i know lol

It means that you overwhelm, scare, or bully other people. Or it could mean that you are pushy or bossy and people feel they have to go along with what you say regardless of whether they want to. Some people are very easily intimidated and have a need to 'go along with the crowd' even if they don't want to. A person with an intimidating personality probably doesn't have that problem. You could also be seen as a leader. Other people will follow where you lead them. And some who do will complain of being intimidated by you. But if you don't threaten them and aren't bossy or pushy, maybe the problem is not yours.

When a person has an intimidating personality, it is difficult to relax around them.
An intimidating personality is not completely bad, if the other person is thinking of approaching the person with the intimidating personality with something that they shouldn't approach them with anyway. For example;
If a person tells you that you have an intimidating personality, it could be their way of trying to get you to open up to them and allow them too close.

If people tell you your intimidating and your honestly are not a bully ignore them. I'm big (6'2" 270 lbs), have extremely serious eyes, convicted in my opinion, and very fair to everyone I meet. Yet people say I'm intimidating because of my size and confidence. I apologized for years until I realized I was going no where fast with this attitude. I told myself as long as I'm not trying to fight or loud talk anyone they would have to deal with me and accept it. Don't be afraid to be you. God made you a go getter so go it with no apologies. It would be a person who behaves in a way (consistantly, as it being part of how they act all the time) that tends to make others feel that they are somehow threatened. Often it's just emotional, but has the effect of making others feel as if they can't be themselves, must "walk on eggshells" and likely can't do anything to please the person. They may feel somewhat compelled to obey this person, out of some kind of fear.
"Intimidators" make others feel weaker, like less, afraid to be natural.

Basically it means that you're outspoken and strong willed. People are afraid to approach you in certain situations because they are afraid of your reaction. Honestly, I would be proud to have an intimidating personality because at least you know what you want and you're not afraid to stand up for it. To me, that's a lot better than being a part of the "spineless follow-the-leader" crowd.

It usually means youre certain of yourself when nobody else is.
Thats not always an asset. Some people would be better off with a cup of doubt.

People feel shy around you and are worried of what you may think of them if they act a certain way. The best way to overcome it is to let loose and try and not be judgemental.
