Isn't that the title of an old gospel song? Of course Heaven would be a better place, but we have so many blessings here on earth that it is just hard to let go.......Blessings!

Who knows which is better, heaven ,if there was one, or earth, which we are stuck on. If there were a heaven I want it. I imagine if there was one (I'm not sure there is) it doesn't suck ever and all your shows are on any time you want them to be. Death is like sleep. Death is only okay for oneself, it's for those left behind that need to cling onto something.

yes I have noticed. It is human nature to cling to life. There will be a part of me that might hang on. I will miss the earth and its beauty. And some of the earthly pleasures like dinner with family.

Heaven. And while I am in no rush to die it does not frighten me. When my Father calls me home I will go willingly. Paul said it best.

Phillipians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Maybe because they don't know where to go when they die. They want to go to heaven but don't know how to. We all need Jesus. He's the way, the truth, and the life.

greattt questionnnn. the reason is becuase even if you beleive in god and heaven ETC your human and you still do not know if what you believe in is really true. death is the unknown and everyone is afraid of the unknown. or it could be subconsciously that we know there isnt anything after death so we squeeze out every last bit of life we have

The dieing is easy and we will all do it. It is the not sinning that is so tough for people. So many people do not even try. They have tried to talk themselves out of even having to try with the idea of Atheism

I can say that I haven't noticed your assumption to be true under all situations.

There are plenty of people in this world who not only want to die, there are plenty who do just that.

And When I Die
Blood Sweat And Tears
Blood, Sweat & Tears Greatest Hits

I'm not scared of dying,
And I don't really care.
If it's peace you find in dying,
Well then let the time be near.
If it's peace you find in dying,
And if dying time is here,
Just bundle up my coffin
'Cause it's cold way down there.
I hear that its cold way down there.
Yeah, crazy cold way down there.

Chorus:

And when I die, and when I'm gone,
There'll be one child born
In this world to carry on,
to carry on.

Now troubles are many, they're as deep as a well.
I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell.
Swear there ain't no heaven and I pray there ain't no hell,
But I'll never know by living, only my dying will tell.
Yes only my dying will tell.
Yeah, only my dying will tell.

Chorus

Give me my freedom for as long as I be.
All I ask of living is to have no chains on me.
All I ask of living is to have no chains on me,
And all I ask of dying is to go naturally.
Oh I want to go naturally.

Here I go,
Hey Hey!
Here comes the devil,
Right Behind.
Look out children,
Here he comes!
Here he comes! Hey...

Don't want to go by the devil.
Don't want to go by demon.
Don't want to go by Satan,
Don't want to die uneasy.
Just let me go naturally.

and when I die,
When I'm dead, dead and gone,
There'll be one child born in our world to carry on,
To carry on.
Yeah, yeah...

Have you ever noticed that people who long for eternal life can't figure out what to do on a rainy, Saturday, afternoon?
