This is assuming you somehow have a choice. =P
And also that you get to into heaven in spite of your disbelief.

I'm atheist too, so nobody there's no pressure. Be honest.

It's also assuming that heaven does actually exist obviously.

I would probably rather cease to exist, I mean have you ever really thought about what it would be like to exist for eternity? It's bound to get boring after the first trillion years or so. Also, I don't really understand why an all powerful God would even want to be worshipped. You would have to believe that God created us just for the purpose of having him worship him eternally. That sounds pretty narcissistic to me, and not really like any being I would care to worship. So I would say I would rather cease to exist. It's not like you would know the difference at that point anyway.

DrK your answer assumes that you have to believe in God to lead a moral life. That's pretty offensive to anyone who doesn't believe in God, isn't it?

The only prayer that an Atheist should pray that idiots like you ceased to exist. The very framing of your question to an Atheist is retarded. Neither prayer or the afterlife are concerns for us thinking people. We concern ourselves with the little bit of time that we have been given. Not focusing on fairytale bedtime stories. This is the internet. The world is a your finger tips. Watch a google video on the real roots of judeo christianity. Zeitgeist seems a good place to start.

It's funny but I use an argument similar to this when discussing my own faith. I tell people that believing in God is a win, win situation. If there is no God than I have lived a moral life treating everyone with love an respect..(That's a good thing..Right?) and I die and cease to exist. If there is a God ..I've lived a decent and moral life and when I die I get to Go on forever.. It's really a no brainer..

Personally, I'd just rather cease to exist. I'm done, peace out, who's next? But if there turned out to be a God I would hope that so benovelent a being would allow me in despite my supposed flaw. I'd be like "yeah, about that, um...sorry." But I still want to go off into the non existence. Give some other slob who spent sundays at church cheering for you the slot, especially when he may have a few more skeletons in his closet that make him more eligible for hell than me.

I would rather worship god in heaven.
Seriously, go to church and just listen to them preach
Its amazing! The choir will just lift you off your feet. If you go to church, you have to go with faith and belief or you won't have that feeling. I know for a fact you don't have to dress up 'cause
as long as your there to worship god, it doesn't matter what your wearing.
God is so amazing! he loves everyone of us, no matter what sins they have commited. He'll love you even if you dont believe in him. All I can say is try church, but go in a good mood. If you don't feel it, then try praying. Praying is easy. All you have to do is talk to god like your talking to a friend. I go to church every sunday (almost lol). Don't worry about a thing, god is always with you and he will always love you no matter what choice you make.

I hope i helped you because (like god) I love everyone too :)

I am not really atheist, but I am not at all spiritual or religious. I guess you could say I just don't have any faith. But I would rather cease to exist, because I don't think I am going to Heaven anyway.

if i don't believe in god then how can i worship him. i really wouldn't want to cease to exist be really no one knows what will happen when we finally croak. in ancient civilizations they made up gods to explain the unexplainable. and to me death is unexplainable and people today have this dumb theory that some "god" made us and when we die were going back to heaven. really its just a bunch of BS. so to answer your question i would choose neither because who knows if we will cease but i do know that religions are a bunch of crap. i don't care if you believe but don't try and sell me that ****. so....yeah. that was fun rambling and now ill shut up.

Well, sense I believe there is no god and no heaven. I will just cease to exist. Except in the mind of family and friends.

Ill just cease to exist like every one else. I'll just let my good deeds live on in the memories of those I help. And my love in those i have loved and been loved by.

The idea of eternally worshiping God is very boring. I don't think ceasing to exist is a bad thing.
