Okay, riddle time.

What is my religion?

I believe in a super miraculous origin for life.
I have no scientific evidence to back up my belief, but I militantly storm around declaring that I do.
Others like me lie to me about this evidence existing because they want to believe it as much as I do.
My whole universe and belief system would crumble and fall to pieces if my faith were threatened.
I believe others who disagree with me should have no place in the debate and should never be listened to.
I verbally abuse and ridicule anyone who believes differently and tries to show I am wrong scientifically.
I think all children should be indoctrinated with my religion by the government.

Who am I?

Hint: The answer is "An Evolutionist"

Abiogenesis isn't a miracle, it's natural. Evolutionists have an incredible amount of scientific backup, to the point of evolution being a stone cold fact. The 'theory' part comes about as to -how- evolution takes place.

If our "faith" in science were threatened, we'd learn an alternative theory that would prove to be more plausible than evolution (not that that would happen, since evolution is a fact).

We like discussing religion, which includes creationism. We learn from it - learn the other side. We just can't accept it because it has no evidence and is merely a superstitious religious guess based on an ancient book.

I only verbally abuse people when their stupidity makes my spine shiver, and most other atheists keep their comments to themselves. I do think all children should grow up learning fact instead of fiction, but that's just me.

I think you made a mistake there. There is scientific evidence (or else it wouldn't be a "science") My universe or belief system wouldn't crumble if updated information came out.
We don't lie about the evidence. (I thought you said there wasn't any?) People who disagree are free to disagree. I haven't verbally abused and ridiculed anyone. ( are YOU not doing that right now?) I believe schools should teach it because it is science. Right along with chemistry and biology.

The answer is you are a militant evolutionist or militant creationist. It has only recently been that evolution has been preached militantly, but Christians have wanted (and militantly preached) creationism for schools for decades now.

Your a hate monger who believes that no-one else has a single valid point if that said point is not the same as yours.

An evolutionist? Oh please.... "a super miraculous origin of life" would point you straight to being a creationist. ie God miraculously created everything.

You sound like a creationist to me.

There is no such thing as an evolutionist. The correct term is scientist.

Okey dokey then.

If you actually believe evolution is a religion, you need help.

If you actually believe there is no scientific evidence for evolution, you need an education.
