You are totally right. If we are saved we will try not to live a life of sin. I am a human so of course I sin. I try not to but I do. The problem I see with homosexuality is in direct denial of scripture they say it is not a sin. They say they can be a Christian and lead a life of sin. I don't think you can. If I claimed to be a Christian and yet everything that passed my lips was a lie, would I be a real Christian? The answer is no. A person living a homosexual lifestyle is living in unrepentant sin. I think regardless of the sin in question it will cause you to go to Hell. I refuse to weaken the Bible by being politically correct.

Yes but how is your living a sinless life working for you?
You can't do it, no one can, that's why he came :-)
Remember what Paul said how his spirit fought against his flesh. That he did what he did not want to do.
All I'm saying is yes we should strive to be Christ like but we will always fall way short. We will always have sin because we are flesh.

Any sex outside of marriage is a sin. Intentionally seeking it out is wrong. Homosexual sex outside of marriage is no more or less wrong than heterosexual sex outside of marriage.
If you didn't want to make this about gays, you should have picked a different example.
That being said, we are supposed to do our best not to sin. If you're attracted to someone of the same gender, you shouldn't pretend to be straight and get married, but you should stay celibate, just like anyone who doesn't get married. If you are an alcoholic, you shouldn't drink. You shouldn't lust after people. You shouldn't kill, lie, etc.

When I was saved my life changed. But living a good life doesnt save us I still do things wrong sometimes. But I know I'm still saved because Jesus saved me I didnt save myself.
Do you think Saul (Paul) would still be saved if he went on killing Christains... I dont think so. Someone still practicing sin hasn't really found Christ

Question: Do we Christians believe we can live an ungodly life and still reap the rewards of heaven?
Answer: Yes, look at St. Augustine and St. Mary Magdalene
Question: I seen a question on homosexuality (there are more examples, I am not trying to single out this sin) and the answers were manipulative on Scripture. Look, we all fall short of the glory of God. We all have sinned. But does God truly desire to still live in that sinful nature, or do we desire to live our lives as a living sacrifice for Him?
Answer: Sin is defined by St. Augustine as factum vel dictum vel concuptium aliquid contra legem aeternam- any thought, word or deed against the eternal law of God. Sin is the turning away from God, our true end, and the fixing of the affections on something forbidden by the law of God.
That sin is a turning away from our true end, is well brought out by the Greek word for sin, hamartia, which means a “missing of the mark, a bad shot.”
Sin is possible because we posses free will, which we can abuse and turn against the purpose for which God gave it to us. There is much in our nature which we cannot change, such as our inclinations to pride and sensuality, our proneness to vanity, anger, sloth, obstinacy. All these things, which Scripture calls concupiscence, incite us more or less powerfully to sin. But in themselves they are not sinful for sin is all possible where free will comes into action. “If we look back over our past life, we shall clearly see the difference between impulses to sin due to our natural appetites, and certain thoughts, words and deed which me might have avoided had we so willed. Hence sin has its toots in the freedom of the will: it is a willful transgression of what we know to be God's will” (Pesch, The Christan Philosophy of life.)
Sin is never good at all.
Question: Holiness and obedience pleases God. This draws us nearer to Him, which enables us a deeper relationship with Him. We are forgiven, but only if we are truly sorry for our wrongs against Him. Our love would be to do His will, not to do our will and live our lives according to our selfish desire. We are to take up our cross, deny ourselves, and follow Christ. This is to be Christlike, and Christ was sinless. Never lusted, never was a homosexual, never stole, He showed us the way. Can we live this way, pleasing God instead of ourselves?
Answer: Well first off if you are truly a Christian you would be in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Since that is the Church in which God established on earth. Secondly a sinner would need to go to the sacrament of penance for his or her sins. In addition, that sinner must be contrite to have his or her sins be absolved by the priest.
Yes we can live that way, look at all the saints and martyrs!
"Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven."
-1 Matthew 7
Outside the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church headed by Pope Michael 1st no one can be saved. It is good that a person should check it out, for eternity depends on whether you want to save your soul from eternal damnation.

I am trying to decipher your post and determine exactly what your question is but I will do my best.
Your answer is that we can come ever closer to Christlikeness (and this must be our goal). However just as Paul we will fail and do the things that we hate most.
7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual – but I am unspiritual, sold into slavery to sin. 7:15 For I don’t understand what I am doing. For I do not do what I want – instead, I do what I hate. 7:16 But if I do what I don’t want, I agree that the law is good. 7:17 But now it is no longer me doing it, but sin that lives in me. 7:18 For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For I want to do the good, but I cannot do it. 7:19 For I do not do the good I want, but I do the very evil I do not want! 7:20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer me doing it but sin that lives in me.
7:21 So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me. 7:22 For I delight in the law of God in my inner being. 7:23 But I see a different law in my members waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that is in my members. 7:24 Wretched man that I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 7:25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
Further, in 1John (written to believers) John says if you say you have no sin, you deceive yourself and the truth is not in you.

There are going to be carnal christians in heaven. However, those who pursue carnality and do not repent of it will be ruled over by those who do not. And they will be judged with fire, not purgatory tho, and will not be allowed to live in New Jerusalem.
I discuss this here:

That would be like asking 'Can we be perfect?' and the answer is no. We can't be.
But God does not ask us to be perfect...that's an excersise in futility. He asks us to do the best WE can do, given the sinful nature that we have.

You seem like a decent human.
I don't believe that any god exists, but at least you're trying to live up to an ideal.
I live my life to "please myself" as you say, but to me, that means being a decent human as well.
Edit: Sourapple,... or sour grapes???
