lol after going to college for 4 years no you dont have to empty it out every 2 months, thats prolly your moms way of saying keep it clean an neat, only time i had to clean my dorm room out was when we went on those long holidays like christmas an things

Nope, I lived in dorms for three years and never heard of this. If you have a roommate, it would be good ettiquette to keep your room clean, but otherwise do what you want!

It probably depends on the dorm. Maybe she meant you had to clean it? I didn't have to take all my stuff home until the end of the school year.
