I am seeing a broadway show in NYC with my friends for my birthday. I don't exactly know what street it is on, I think its near 40th street. But if anyone knows any good VEGETARIAN or VEGAN restaurants near where broadway is, PLEASE tell me! include address, phone number, approximate price range as well. thanks you so much! : ] and plz hurry because my birthday is this month.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I love Hangawi - a Korean vegan restaurant. Everything I've ever had here has been delicious. It's probably about ten blocks from your theater, but it's very walkable or, you can take a train one stop. [Walk one long block up 32nd Street to Broadway and get the train. Take either the Q, N or R uptown one stop to 42nd Street/Times Square.] Their phone number, menu, etc listed here:

Zen Palate on 46th and Broadway is a very popular vegetarian restaurant (not as good as Hangawi, in my opinion)

The theatre district is not a great place to get a vegetarian meal, I'm sorry to say, but I agree that Zen Palate is a good vegetarian place.

The best vegetarian place near Broadway is the Zenith restaurant, on 8th Avenue and 48th St. The sun dried tomato tortellini is wonderful. You can also order online from this place. http://www.imenu360.net/?type=RC&id=17&cpn=&misc=%27%27.

There is an Indian Vegetarian restaurant called Vatan. They located at the neighborhood of Gramercy. Try the $23.95 all you can eat offer.

Please don't waste money on restaurants near the theatre. Take some extra time, there is a GREAT Chinese/kosher/vegetarian restaurant in Chinatown called Buddah Bodai--it's near
