so, the girl i've been crushing on for a little over 3 years asked for my number after school one day. that night, she called me up and asked if i liked her. i froze up, completely freaked out of my mind. suddenly i heard myself say no. it was too late to take it back. she still comes up to me in the halls and gives me hugs, and sometimes comes to my locker at the end of the day. by the way, i'm a grade above her and she's a freshman. what i'm wondering is, do you think that i still have a chance with her if i ask her to hang out on the weekend? or should i just forget about the whole thing?
oh, another thing.. right before she hung up that night, she told me how she was enjoying being single ever since her ex dumped her about a month back.... is she just tryin to get me jealous? idk... answer please!

If she gives you hugs, you can certainly get her to hang out. I say maybe hang out a few times and if you like her, tell her your feelings have changed or that you didn't know her and just said that, but tell her that no matter, you really do like her right now... And tell her you can prove it to her if she gives you the chance. But don't do this right away. Remember, hang out a few times, otherwise she'll think you're some kind of player that decides whether to like a girl or not just based on your mood that day. Remember, players are weak, they often don't have the ability to actually like a girl more than in a skin-deep way.

IMO you telling her that you dont like her has just released the relationship pressure to "be" someone for you. She obviously enjoys hanging out with you and talking to you. You are a friend and not someone who puts more pressure on her.
Her telling you that she does not have a boyfriend was either, 1. just sharing her life with you, OR, 2. just letting you know that she is single and wants you to make her not single anymore.
I suggest spending more time with her, in as little relationship pressure as possible, just to get a feel for where she stands. However, not so far off that someone else slips in and takes her. Like going to a game with her or looking for her in the halls just to say hey and see how her day is going.

Tell her that you're interested. If she asks you why did you say no when she asked if you liked her, just tell her you were caught off guard and was nervous at that moment, and you just said the wrong thing. Don't give up, talk to her and tell her you are interested. She's still obviously interested in you, talk to her before someone else gets her attention. I hope this helps you.

If you like her I would tell her that you do. If you want her to know that you have liked her tell her that when she asked you that question it made you nervous and you answered in haste. I would not forget about it if you like her. What do you have to lose? Maybe she told you that so you would not think that she was on the rebound. Ask her out. Good luck.

umm well idk how old you kids are but shes either immature and trying to make you jealous or.. in my opinion shes hurt that u didnt say you liked her back and made an excuse so she didnt look hurt.. i think you have a really good chance.. tell her you got nervous and froze up. ask her out to a movie. .and make sure you pay so she knows its a date. than no more messing up from there! lol

she was trying to make you jealous and herself feel better. You should definitely ask her to hang out that's perfect and let her know if you have a good time. If you have a good time just tell her it's that easy.

well you should tell her how you really feel in person and tell her that u just froze up that night and that you really like her and my yall can go to the movies or something!! if she says no then its not the end of the world then just be like thats cool i reather be friends than nothing!!!

Tell her you didn't know how to respond to her when she called, but that you are interested in her. Dont' give up because of that little mixup.

She likes you.....and you like her.....she will probably like to hang out with you.....just ask her. But don't freeze up again, that can be a big turn off.

according to threat she replaced into attempting 2 say she had a great time wit u who is familiar with ceremony....and if u like her i think of u could take tht threat n ask her out nicely u could think of approximately tht.....
