I think it's to know and understand the community one lives in, and to be immersed in it, not just passing through. Like when people knew their neighbors and most of the town they live in.
When EVERYONE from the community comes to your house to raise a barn, or introduce themselves to the new couple that moved in, visit the new baby, help in a situation - even if they can't help, but come for moral support.
I am so tempted to look in the dictionary. But I will fight this temptation - away foul tempter!

I am a Wiccan, sort of, I study herbs, stones, astrology and divination of tarot and Runes. Do not get into a higher being due to it being and unknown entity. However if something is beyond this realm then so be it, I'm not sure if these unknown entities judge or are there for who knows why or what reasons. To me spirituality is my own dreams and ideas as they should be to others, as apposed to be religious believing in a higher being and worshiping and being able to have a blind faith with the dogma factor! I raise my children with the knowledge of the library and every summer they will learn of a new culture and the religions in that aspect. They will chose which suits them and most are forced and raised and breed like cattle. I feel I am human and have the right to be as I am without being judged for my thought patterns. But this is reality and everyone does what they want and then say they are forgiven for being a sinner all week and go to church on Sunday. They say that's how it is but those are the hypocrites. We all are in a since, Its just admitting it and keeping the favored latest fashion of delusions of the self. self-delusion is very popular in religions. Yet I realy dont see myself as a spirtual person, Im not into spirits!!!!!!

1 : something that in ecclesiastical law belongs to the church or to a cleric as such
2 : CLERGY
3 : sensitivity or attachment to religious values
4 : the quality or state of being spiritual
The above is according to websters dictionary.

Spiritually is the condition or study of the energy that underlies all things. Spiritually is the state of consciousness that you find when you realize that there is more to this life then what has been told to you and what is on the surface.

Spirituality is when you begin to see that those things you believed to know completely are only the skin of the fruit.

Spirituality is the state of awe when you realize that your concept of God does not begin to contain the understanding of who he is.

Spirituality is when you realize that complete understanding is beyond human capacity.

Spirituality is loving everyone, respecting everyone and their understanding of God.

Spirituality is the diving state of love.

Blessings and peace to all,
all in all,

The word spirit comes from the latin spiritus. My spelling may be off. The latin form means literally to breathe. Spirit is an animating and vital principal for living things. I would guess it is just an acknowledgement of of ones capacity to believe.
I have noticed it has become fashionable for younger folks to say they are spiritual. This may be the case, but too I think some say they are spiritual because they wish to differentiate themselves from Christians or other main stream religions.
Good question.

Spirituality means dealing with spiritual matters. However, many are deceived or ignorant and do not know the difference between spirit and soul, christian and non-believer alike.

Things like psychic powers are not spiritual, they are soulish powered attributes, which most likely come from demons.

1 Thess 5: MKJV
23 ¶ And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blamelessly at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The word "soul" in the Greek is "psuche", this is where we get the english word psychic. It is often translated: heart (+ -ily), life, mind, soul, + us, + you.

The word "spirit" in the greek is "pneuma", this is where we get pneumatic tool (a tool powered by air). It is often translated: ghost, life, spirit(-ual, -ually), mind.

Only the word of God can really separate the 2:

Heb 4:
12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit...
