She'll probably sleep about 16-20 hours a day. Some of that time will be spent in deep sleep and some of it just dozing.
In the wild, the big cats do the same thing. The few hours left of the day are for hunting, eating, socializing and bathing. I think probably a lot of the socializing is actually also done as they doze because of the way they like to sleep next to each other.

Kittens are just like young human babies and children. They don't sleep for long periods of time. They let you know they are hungry, they eat, they run around like mad until exhausted then they crash for a while.
A six week old kitten would not be sleeping most of the day like a year old cat or a 17 year old cat.
A healthy six week old kitten should be pretty frenetic for a large part of the day or night.

As a kitten, pretty much all day. Adult cats sleep about 20 hours a day. As long as she's getting up at various times to eat, play, drink, use the litterbox, she's probably fine.

To be honest, 6 weeks is a little young to be taken away from her mom and litter. If it is at all possible, I would return her where you got her for another 2 weeks, so she can be with them until she is really ready. It isn't normally life-threatening to take them away at 6 weeks, but in 2 more weeks her immune system will be way stronger, and she will also be more fully socialised, better able to groom herself, and probably close to being house-trained as well. This can also be quite difficult, if they are taken away earlier.
Best of luck, whatever you decide, but this really would be for the best for everyone concerned.

She's still a baby so she'll probably sleep quite a bit. Just wait a few weeks. You'll be wishing she'd sleep more. She will get very active and playful.
