They don't "always"
Only the ones who get it without asking for it do.
If I may suggest: You shouldn't use generalizations so often, it makes you appear unsophisticated.

It depends on the "constructive criticism". There are a few people on here that will write extremely insulting things, and then pretend that it's "constructive criticism." It's not. They're just being condescending.

Constructive criticism (note the spelling correction) is meant to be taken personally. You mean why are people offended by it. (Just some constructive criticism)

Sometimes it's less constructive criticism and more an attempt to hurt someone's feelings.
Other times, the person can just be touchy.

Think about it. If constructive criticism is to become constructive, it must be taken personally.

Sometimes it all depends on how you say it. If you say it in a manner of an insult then it can be taken as a personal attack but if you say it in a manner of a suggestion and that you really care for the person's welfare, then that type of critism maybe taken constructively.

Since criticism by definition is a severe or unfavorable judgment (which is never constructive), it's easy to see why it's taken personally.
