Your first step is to consult with your son's pediatrician. He/she will be able to refer you to the appropriate specialist. You should be able to get an appointment with your pediatrician for consultation purposes. You can go in and talk to him/her without your child.

What's going on in the home that is different from school? Was there recently a big change (a move, death, divorce), or is the environment chaotic? Do you discipline when he acts like this? And if so, do you use corporal punishment? That can actually make violent behavior worse. Use positive discipline when he behaves (praising the specific behavior, not just telling him he's a good boy), remove him from the situation when he misbehaves and explain to him why he was removed. Avoid using labels like "good" or "bad." Always be consistent, too! He needs to learn that the same action will always have the same consequence.
