the reason for cancer of the muscle...why? leukemia?how can we educate people on cancer?where can they go if they have cancer?is there a support group here in manila who can really extend help without any charges?please advise. thank you.

Cancer risk factors are -
- Growing older
- Tobacco
- Sunlight
- Ionizing radiation
- Certain chemicals and other substances
- Some viruses and bacteria
- Certain hormones
- Family history of cancer
- Alcohol
- Poor diet, lack of physical activity, or being overweight

Leukemia is a type of cancer. Cancer is a group of many related diseases. All cancers begin in cells, which make up blood and other tissues. Normally, cells grow and divide to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old, they die, and new cells take their place.

Sometimes this orderly process goes wrong. New cells form when the body does not need them, and old cells do not die when they should. Leukemia is cancer that begins in blood cells.

Cancer is a vast subject and to know fully it will lot of time. There will be some Oncologist (Cancer Doctor) at Manila and you can talk to him -

as a matter of fact, nobody knows the exact or nearest possible factor which causes cancer. not even a specialist could answer that. believe me I've tried.
to know whether you have cancer, check for symptoms, go for regular checkup, get a complete body analysis including x-rays, ultra-sound because some cancers don't show signs etc. but always go to a specialist. i really don't know of a support group in your country but you can try other countries on-line.
